Got to say I loved the whole Amazon football coverage. Being able to sit in a quiet bar who didn't show football, when the Mancs are on telly I have to be careful where I go,  and have the games on the Ipad was ace.

Sky and BT must be shitting it.

Agreed, would love Amazon to get more involved, but not if it means a third subscription (I know there are cheaper ways of watching but when you’ve got a 4K TV I prefer watching as good quality picture and sound as possible)

I had prime anyway and I get my moneys worth. They have enough music on the free app for me, we watch the telly and films, I must have read over 300 books since i got my kindle and I batter the next day delivery.

If they go the lions share of the games, cutting Sky and BT out, were able to show games on C4 as they wanted to and kept Prime near enough what it is now, then it would be perfect. They'd make shit loads from Prime to make it worthwhile keeping Prime cheap.

Just watched a replay of last nights game. Not quite the same as being there but the overall coverage is far superior to Sky/BT. Picture quality for a stream is excellent. Commentators were good and it made a real change for the presenter and pundits just discuss the game rather than working from agenda’s looking to be as critical as possible.

This was something that stood out to me - just that they actually made a bloody fair go at it all, from commentary to presentation, interesting camera angles, sharp picture with minimal fuss

Just felt top drawer, the approach, and as you say, the presenter, pundits, and commentary were super refreshing after the horror of using NowTv for Sky Sports games. They discussed the game!!

Can you buy an amazon gift card and then redeem that to use for Amazon prime?

Quality and contents superb, but the fooking thing was 2 minutes behind which annoyed me. Don't know if that's the shit broadband from Virgin Media or what, but its annoying.

It was the same for everyone. I think it’s less behind on the iPad than through your tv but until that issue is sorted out then your best bet is just to turn all devices on airplane mode!

So what's the verdict on Amazon Prime's coverage? I thought it was decent and the stream was excellent.  I hope they deem it a success and Amazon get more rights.

Thoughts?

I ws really concerned that it would be ' Z list' pundits and poor commentary, but in truth only the first part was true (!).

The commentary was fair and unbiased and I actually didn't turn the sound off for once (except at half time)

Apart from the delay it was decent. Also McCoist is my favourite commentator by quite a way so great to listen to him compared with those wankers at Sky

Funny thing is that BT provided Amazon with their set up.

That was just a partnership to show the football in pubs?

Also enjoyed Champion & McCoist, they have a good rapport and work well together. No agendas as others have mentioned. Initially thought the picture was brilliant but the longer shots seemed a little more blurry on the second set of fixtures (probably just me).

Obviously the fact it’s behind real time is an annoyance and if they are to continue I’d prefer It was in place of at least one of Sky or BT can’t be doing with anymore subscriptions.

I spent the day in the pub so didn't use TV - can you watch it on the BT Box Office channel on Sky?

Agreed. Don't like that its behind live play.

However, the service was absolutely top notch. Crystal clear picture - far better than on the BT Sport App.

The only annoying thing is the delay - mine seemed to be approx. two mins behind, so i was finding out about the goals before seeing them.

Behind?  ??? ??? Unless you were watching the game sitting outside the stadium there was no way to tell it was behind, any notifications of goals would be a lot slower than the stream. The delay was mere seconds if that, which could even happen over live TV. I think people who had a longer delay either had internet problems or hadn't realised they paused it and it resumes behind and doesn't skip back to live.

Fantastic coverage. No lag, easy to pick games, great commentary and good options with the stats/highlights on the side. I pray to god they win more and more games and eventually Sky fuck off.

McCoist was great. He was so excited by our 3rd & 4th goals not in a biased way but just with a love for great football unlike Tyler et al.
I really liked the goals show like the Champions league show on BT sport; my stream was about 2-3 minutes behind but if you don't look at your phone will be no problem.
Keep it up Amazon!
