What a job for Ljinders to land! Salzburg have won the Austrian league for each of the past 10 seasons and done the double in 7 of those seasons. It's a job where it's very difficult to fail so will give Ljinders the space to develop as a manager.
The only downside is that the previous managers during that decade of dominance have not gone on to do much; Adi Hutter (Monaco), Peter Ziedler (unemployed), Thomas Letsch (unemployed), Oscar Garcia (OH Leuven), Marco Rose (RBL), Jesse Marsch (Canada), Matthias Jaissle (Al Ahli) and Gerhard Struber (unemployed). Hopefully Ljinders can buck the trend.
