Good performance shit result

Shit performance, good result.

Just because we had more of the ball doesn't mean it was a good performance. We didn't do much with the ball and tested the keeper once.

Typical Utd performance under Shitcoat, park the bus, offer nothing going forward, we had the better of the game but it was a pretty shit encounter overall.
However if something serious happens to them I will eat my own cock.

Obviously United parked the bus but feel the tempo when we were in possession was far too slow throughout, especially from the midfield 3. All I felt were guilty of taking too many touches, hesitating on the ball and often making the wrong decision in the pass. Made it only too easy for United to hold shape knowing that we weren't sharp enough to expose them.

Not so bad result I guess but feel that with United offering no threat this was a game for us to win, and we lacked the guile to do it.

We really need a plan B to beat this park-the-bus defensive teams. Being effective from corners would be a great start. We can win headers but not direct them.

Yep, zero chance of winning it though, City have already gone to Stamford Bridge and totally outclassed Chelsea. You shit the bed away to crisis club Liverpool. Your manager is a coward.

Pulis team who spent millions.
No, jazz. You fear jazz. You fear the lack of rules, the lack of boundaries. Oh look, it's a fence. But, no, it's soft.

We need another striker as well, where do we find a top one with enough technical ability to play our game, difference between us and City, we have no ruthlessness, just fairytale football.

Complete domination

Should have had a pen, blatant foul from Herrera. Lukaku should have been off as should Herrera for his usual theatrics and continuous fouls

Frustrating draw, but I thought we played quite well. Yes, Mourinho's plan was executed without a hitch, they got what he wanted - shite football, though.

Good cameo from THE OX (lol) but Sturridge was, sadly, anonymous. Shame. Can't fault Klopp for making those subs, I'm sure Salah and Coutinho were knackered. Oh, if only Mané hadn't sustained that fucking injury...

Let's hope we smash Maribor next. We're due a confortable victory for quite a while now.

Atkinson was a joke, nobody wants to see yellow cards for nothing but if you boot both feet from under our player without even coming close to getting the ball I expect more than a freekick.

The Coutinho foul was a definite penalty which of course would have completely changed the game but the ref bottles it.

We can defend well when we contentrate. While back four played well, didn't give them much of a sniff. It's against the lower teams we tend to gift the shit goals.

You're right. The defensive concentration was spot on today. Good aggression as well. That needs to be the standard, every game.

Played but well but ultimately disappointing. Again.

Utd came not to lose so will walk away the happier team.

Drawing at home to them isn't a problem in isolation, it only becomes a problem when you've dropped points to the likes of Watford and Burnley.

Happy for Joe and thought the Ox looked a proper threat.

Taking how we've been defence rise so far this season and Utd are averging 3 goals a game, i'd have taken a 0-0 before kick off. seeing how shit poor and cowardly Utd actualy we're, its a bit disappointing we didn't actually win in the end.
Still defensively this is something we need to build on.

Btw if anyone is wondering why people complain about Henderson's passing, please watch this game. Didn't hit a single decent creative pass all game and often picked the wrong option.
Quote from: Dion Fanning

The chants for Kenny Dalglish that were heard again on Wednesday do not necessarily mean that the fans see him as the saviour. This is not Newcastle, longing for the return of Kevin Keegan. Simply, Dalglish represents everything Hodgson is not and, in fairness, everything Hodgson could or would not hope to be.

Real lack of quality in Utd's team. Not a chance they're beating City to the title. Typical of the English media that they're already wanking over a display like that where they had 1 shot on target and showed nothing on the ball. Their whole approach screamed inferiority.

Wouldn't say zero chance but yeah don't fancy us to win it this year. Should have lost today in all fairness but every man and his dog knew how we would play today, the onus was on Liverpool to take the game to United. You did, but just didn't quite have the ability to break us down. That De Gea save swung everything.

But why weren't our lads getting in the ref's face about it? I can't remember Hendo talking to the ref once. We need to be playing the ref in big games like this, especially at home.

In fairness, it was comfortable for both teams. Probably the most confident I've been with our defence in a long time, looked very in control.

We had a lot of the ball but didn't do much with it.

Exactly. A clean sheet, with some good defending. We played some lovely stuff too, just need to work on the final ball. I actually think that was as good as I've seen us play straight after an international break.

The ref was awful Gomez kicked in the air no yellow, high boot near Can's face no yellow again. Doubtless though they will say the ref had a good game as he kept it flowing. How just one United player got booked when they were constantly fouling our players god knows.

Good call on the int'l break. We suffer from the fact that our best 4 players are non-European, two of them South American, so they have a shitload of miles to travel, and the early Saturday kick-off really punishes us because of that. So all things considered, I'm glad Bob and Phil were able to put in a good shift and that Salah wasn't understandably a little flat after the euphoria of the week.

The ridiculous thing about refereeing in games like this is how easily the cards come in the last 15 minutes when you have to commit murder to get carded in the first half. That Smalling foul that earned the game's first booking was nothing: low impact, possibly a tad cynical but probably not one of the top 20 bookable incidents of the game. Is this just an English thing? It's giving yard dogs licence to take a few lumps out of the best players and kill the game as a spectacle. Somehow I doubt the shite Spanish clubs are give 45 minutes of kick-a-Messi.

Oh yeah, we'll smash a team to bits sometime in the next few months, I think. I don't think we're all that bad, if we take our chances more we'll win games in which we dominated, which so far has been most of them.

If Salah leaves that ball for Coutinho in the first half we win.

Main point, Mourinho is such a fucking coward.
Salah leaves me scratching my head sometimes. Think he could do a lot more, he does a couple things very poorly. And yeah, Coutinho would've hammered that thing into the corner of net. Oh well.

We really need a plan B to beat this park-the-bus defensive teams. Being effective from corners would be a great start. We can win headers but not direct them.

Today we’ve created three, at least, fantastic chances.

I keep seeing this and yeah it’s frustrating as fuck, but the only plan B we need is to play ourselves out of this little rut our attackers are in at the moment. This isn’t Burnley last season. Burnley, United, Moscow, Newcastle are all games we’ve created multiple excellent chances. That doesn’t mean we need to change tactic.
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.
