I had a feeling the ticket allocation included the 200 corporates. So anyone new buying a corporate ticket are eligible to buy a Euro away... absolutely disgusting. Anyway, me and me mates the fortunate ones on 6 to be sorted. phew

Is the 200 VIP tickets a norm at every CL game?

I swear I have seen sectors of away fans (obv. not hardcore ultras) inside or in the middle of the home crowd in Santiago Bernabeu and Allianz Arena with them proudly wearing colors as well.

Is that why when we played a team at home that didn't bring a single fan in the Anny Road we could see people going mental in the Upper Centenary when they scored? Was surreal as it was like silent, can't remember the game.

Yes it's always 200. I know this 200 seems shit but it is always 200.
I think the announcement should have stated that of the allocation 200 are for players, sponsors, corps. I think people would be less pissed off then thinking we had 842 for your everyday supporter.

Agreed. No problem with the allocation, it’s uefa and happens at every game. Would just be much better if the club could be more transparent about things and just say. Like people above have said about united saying who is on what credit as well, would make it easier for people to know if they’re likely to get sorted before booking travel.

We need to do more as fans to get this transparency. I was going to book travel/hotel for Maribor as I had 4 from 2014, 3 from 2016 and 1 from 2017 (Spartak) so I had 4 credits required but then sort of gave up last week because was proving too difficult to get there and back. I got 4 credits but it sold out well before then and didn't even drop to the 5 - I think I just read it sold out on 6?

All it needs is to say like United do...

There are 600 tickets. We start at 7 credits.

500 people have 7 credits
600 have 6
700 have 5
etc

Update AFTER each euro away.

Then I can look and go - Maribor - 600tickets. But I've got 4 credits. Likely no chance so won't book travel.

It's currently a gamble - book hotel/flight/time off work based upon guess work.

I'd be a bit stuffed if I'd proceeded yet if the club published their figures that they refer to for the credits anyway I'd have avoided getting my hopes up.

It's not even hard work.

Definitely. They make a big thing about not travelling without a ticket yet leave us to guess if we'll get one. I'm stuck on 4 now and wondering if I'll get sorted for Sevilla after this.

Good point and same situation.
There's also the cost element.

Today I can book to Seville (or near) and a hotel and be affordable.
Leaving it less than 2 weeks before (where you know if guaranteed a ticket or not) is a gamble and a guess.

It's also never going to change unless they make these smaller trips collection at location and in individual name who has the credit or possibly one of the 2 with credit must be in travelling party - I thought I stood a good chance for this and i'm gutted as can't do Seville but will 100%, qualify for that one and will have to make trip to Maribor hoping I can pick something up over there.

no -not expecting anything till tomorrow- don't they send you an email from the PO that it's on the way- the whole thing is a shambles-wanted collection redirected to my home address -when i phoned up and was up for paying the £5.65 their computer systems had conked out-had to take my debit card details in writing and said they would do it later. Shambles I'm afraid

Out of interest, how are the club able to reimburse peoples visas? Which pot of gold does that come out of? It was a great gesture.

For the people that travelled from the UK it will be about £50k the club have to shell out. It's not a huge amount these days.

Correct. I sat right next to the Real Madrid contingent a few years ago in the UC when they beat us 4-0(?). They were singing their songs and going mad. Steward explained who they were, seemed a mixture of youth players, officials, WAGS etc.

Ditto I've seen it at the Bernabeu etc

Has anyone received a Royal Mail e-mail today? 1 set of tickets have arrived but no sign of the 2nd lot and no e-mail either. Paid £5.65 for next day delivery and here we are 5 days later and they haven't even been sent out yet.

I've just spoken to the TO, I'm still none the wiser, I may as well have asked my 8 year old the same question. After telling them that we fly on Sunday, I was told that if I hadn't received them by Monday then to call them to arrange dupes...you really couldn't make it up.
