I posted this in the match thread, but probably is more appropriate here.
My thoughts exactly! I think most/everyone saw he was going to be one of the best available options and that he suited the league at least- even though he "failed"(pah!) at Chelsea. I'm giving credit to our fans for this one at least...
Usually some will moan about a purchase, but on Salah- I think we were all disregarding the Chelsea stint. "Nah, feck 'em!", was the general consensus and we all looked forward to it.
Some predicted he would score goals("pace goals" as the blue twat called it!
) and some just thought- "a few goals and pace and a bit of trickery on the wing is alright- nothing wrong with that at all.. what with Mane on the other wing?."
You could see that he suited us and he suited the league.. AND he was bought for a wide role so there wasn't much that could go wrong..
All-in-all, a sensible purchase and nothing wrong with it at all...
Forward a few months later and he has everyone stunned. The roaches in the media are already turning out stories about "how long can Liverpool possibly hold onto Salah before Real Madrid or Bayern Munich decides they want him?" etc.
Apparently, Real has already decided to "keep a watch" on Salah. Well, he's all over the telly, you twats!
Piss off! He's OURS!
Mo Salah, Mo goals!
