Really great start

Enjoyed all the front six' start. Kimi was slow out but showed good bottle to force Hamilton not to risk an overtake. Even Max was peeking around the kimi, Hamilton, Ricciardo trio. Great to see

What a dull race, everyone's cars are overheating so have to maintain big gaps.

erm, yeah, Bottas was leading the race mate! Good old Kimi.

Strange day though. Bottas, unless something bad happens, won it off the line. The issues neutrals have about F1 show up on days like today.

Just can't get within a second here Vettel,  dirty air and the Mercedes faster down straights, bodes well though for circuits not as reliant on power

No doubt money is being made from racing here but damn, that was not a spectacle. When you start looking for mistakes rather than excellence to spice things up, something is wrong

Good work from Bottas...probably his most complete weekend so far. Wasn't too far behind in qually and was classy today.

Well done to Bottas.  I don't think that there's many people who would begrudge him that.  The race was boring as fuck for the most part though.   Oh, and that post race "chat" between Putin and the drivers is one of the most awkward things that I've ever seen.

EDIT: Christ almighty, Eddie Jordan is a retard.  I'd rather have Anne from Little Britain conducting the interviews than that clown.

Street style races need banning. Sure keep Monaco for the history and the prestige but when you have the likes of Istanbul Park, Magny-Cours, Nürburgring etc gathering dust with cars like these it's horrible for the sport

Alonso doing his first laps in an Indy 500 car today. Managed to disintegrate 2 birds in the process.

He did 50 laps to complete his rookie tests needed for the big race.

Surprised a McLaren Honda car managed that sort of torture :P

Ha, yeah I fully sympathise on that Honda issue. :D

But I was actually looking forward to the start, when Alonso after he failed to drive his  "best race" this year decided to make a whole trek of the huge circuit and then finally decided to stop his Mclaren half on the racing line, half in the pitlane.

How did he manage to stop at that point I don't know. I refuse to believe the car went for so long just to stop outside the pitlane. Also the position the car was stopped is not on the pit-entrance line.

2017 estimated constructor payments have been released.

http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/129388

Ferrari again tops the table due to their 'Long standing team' bonus of $68 million.

Mclaren get the 4th largest

Haas loses out as a new team

The highest payment is $180 million and the lowest $19 million.

Had manor survived they would have got $32.5 million

I can see the distribution being significantly altered moving forward. The new management structure is very keen to try and level the playing field across the sport and this seems like a good place to start.

Just all emphasises how much the little teams have been continuously fucked over.  HRT, Caterham had no chance once the promise of the cap went out of the window.

It really needs to happen.  The Ferrari bonus needs to be reduced greatly and to see some of the other bonuses given to teams for seemingly just existing is horrible.  The gap from front to back needs to close a lot more.

That's going to be an awkward bugger when it needs to be changed.  Part of me is surprised that it's allowed, it's not really a place you see elements of the floor essentially.
