Dropping points in this group won't be fatal, in a way having a group like this is tougher than having one with a clear favourite. The teams are so evenly matched, there's really no discernible difference in quality between any of the 4 teams.

Is second place guaranteed a play off spot?

No, 8 play off spots
94 Corner to us. Last kick. Ali in the box and he’s scored

Oof,  so in a group like that where everyone will take points off each other second place might even struggle to get to the play offs.

Pleased with tonight although we look absolutely dreadful in defence. As long as Tadic stays fit we will have a big say in this group. Kolarov suspended for Wales will be a big blow but Matic is back so at least that's something.

If we win and Serbia win our next game its going to be very tough for those two.

Exciting though.  Boringly predictable being English.  A pig in a suit could get us qualified,  then we all know what will happen once we get there.

Serbia are in Wales. That's the kind of game I could see Wales winning. Serbia like to play footie and Wales can play on the counter, which is what they're best at. Austria are amazing at home, so Ireland would be doing extremely well to even get a draw there.

True but wins for Serbia and Ireland could really change the make up of this Group.

Serbia and Austria will probably stumble over their typical problems, same old, year in, year out.

Wales and Irland COULD benefit from that but the quality seems a little bit one dimensional so I think the games vs Georgia could decide the group.

One thing does need to be said: in the post-Benitez era, there was media-led clamour (but also some politicking going on at the club) to make the club more English; the idea being that the club had lost the very essence of what it means to be ‘Liverpool’. Guillem Ballague 18/11/10

Netherlands Stekelenburg, Karsdorp, Bruma, Van Dijk, Blind, Strootman, Wijnaldum, Propper, Klaassen, Promes, Janssen

France Lloris, Sidibe, Varane, Koscielny, Kurzawa, Matuidi, Sissoko, Pogba, Payet, Griezmann, Gameiro

This game is on ITV4 tonight. Should be a good 'un.

Weakest Dutch team I can ever remember.

Apparently this is the first time, since October 2002, that Holland will play a competitive fixture without one of Robben, Van Persie, Sneijder or Van der Vaart. And it shows.

This French team is packed full of talent, they don't have a single weak point. They don't even have the likes of Dembele in the squad either.
