Skrtel looks set to join Fener for £5m once personal terms are agreed, and his friend and him have been writing about Klopp on Instagram

He`s been doing my head in for the last couple of years but now that he`s on verge of leaving I don`t really feel the need anymore to get on his case.

Fwiw this shows how devastated he is having to leave and is bitter towards Klopp - it shows he desperately wants to play for us which is what want to see with all our players but then again all mediocre players want to be a level or two above themselves and play for big clubs for years and years. That`s why it`s important our club don`t allow it and be ruthless.

Credit to him he gave his all for us but then again I`m really glad we have a regime now capable of recognizing when players have stopped being good enough for us.

A loyal servant for us over the years and he is a really good defender when played in a system that suits him. Unfortunately for Skrtel, that system is never going to be played by Klopp.

He will have lost a lot of respect with how is leaving. A player really shouldn't be bitter when they clearly aren't good enough to play.

One of the strangest parts of Rodgers' time here was how Skrtel went from being dropped in 12/13 and seemingly on his way out, to being the first name on the team sheet from 13/14 onwards regardless of how he played. The decision to always start him and one of Lovren and Sakho from the outset was just bizarre.
