Remember the "can he even play on the left" shouts  :lmao

Who made them?? Was obvious he'd be better from the left wasn't it.

Be boss if he had a Ronaldo or even a Bale level season in terms of scoring an absolute shitload from wide.

it was just that we always used hi on the right since we had coutinho at LW, so people were worrying if he could shift over there
I would honestly let Wijnaldum jizz in my face right now

It's strange. Obviously he's well rated, but I don't think rival fans realise just how good this guy is, and I think the fact that we signed him from Southampton, where he was regarded as inconsistent, probably has something to do with that. Every time I see him play for us he's just a constant threat. For me he's well up there. I'm gonna make a bold instinctive claim and say he's in the top 7 attacking players in the league for me, then go and have a think about it. Great finish today.

He's not just in the top 7, he's in the top 3 and by the season's end he will likely be the best.

Should we be looking at extending this guys contract already?

To try and buy another Mane in this market; a) are there any? b) the cost would be a bit high c) would they come to us?

Best player in the league right now,  no idea how people mention the likes of De Bruyne who is hit and miss.  Sadio is a machine,  rarely has a bad game and will easily smash 20 league goals this season.

Still think he is going to win Player of the Year in the league- just kicked on to another level and absolutely unplayable.

The way he is going- 20+ league goals and 10+ assists are the realistic aim. Such a talent and a threat from anywhere on the pitch

what a bargain..

would be 100 mil. + in current market prices...

he is a game changer, a player capable of wining games on his own for us...

with Salah and Firmino we have not one, but 3 players like that i feel...

happy days

From obscurity at Southampton to the best player in the league in 18 months. That's how radical a professional footballers career path can take.

I'd have Mane over Sanchez even. Only a focused Hazard poses the question imo. Obviously City have some players that could go on to impose themselves like Sane, but right now, Sadio's king (or close enough!)

Not having Sanchez over Mane at this moment. Sanchez is brilliant on his day, but Mane is a freak.

Our running off the ball is amazing. Check out Salah's runs for Can's against Hoffenheim and for Firmino's header yesterday.

I'd have neither.
Sanchez works but showed a seriously cuntish attitude last season, and Hazard is more skilful in some areas but doesn't have anything even remotely like the workrate and determination.

Also Sanchez doesn't have Mane's unbelievable pace and acceleration, and Hazard doesn't have anything like Mane's strength and fitness. Mane is a fucking machine, perfect for this manager and this system.

Sanchez and Hazard are the only PL players I'd have over Mane.
Both are probably better players, and have consistently showed more in their careers so far, but I wouldn't swap Mane for either. Hazard is wonderful to watch (at his best), but I think this team needs Mane's raw pace and his type of movement more than the trickery and skill of Hazard. Sanchez would be a better fit for us, but Mane is much younger and on his way up, so again I think Mane is the better player for us right now, and certainly in coming seasons.

It really is fascinating how we managed to get this guy without much competition if at all.

I'm sure if we could turn back the clock every single manager in the Top 6 wouldn't mind spending up to 80m and more for him. It shows how incredible Klopp is at talent evaluation which is why in the future we shouldn't fear overpaying for players Klopp feels would do great for him.
