Re: the article, just a reminder that his Finnish club was NOT from Helsinki, but from a small rural town 200 miles north. That makes the culture shock challenge a lot harsher than living in the city, where he could at least find South American restaurants and Portuguese speakers, and certainly get all everyday matters sorted in English without getting stared at or chased out. I have great respect for the way he handled that, even though his contributions on the pitch were key to my club losing the title.
I have no doubt he can be successful in Belgium and hopefully also for Liverpool pretty soon.
