On a plus side, Milner is not playing next match. Maybe that's a blessing from now on.

Did you not see his workrate and the cross for Benteke? Show some respect.

Giving that freekick away in Sunday league would have got an absolute bollocking... Ironic that it's Milner, the 'complete professional' that goes and does it.

This seasons going to be a slog, but we knew that already.

Thought Can was a bit sloppy - running into nothing - not passing early enough and losing possession

Can and Lallana suffer from too-many-touches syndrome.

Big ups to the Anfield crowd for creating a wonderful atmosphere otherwise.

We still don't know how to take nor defend set-pieces but the rest of our football looks markedly improved. We're not going to roll over for anyone anymore. The effort is tangible.

Not sure why Coutinho lasted as long as he did and would've thought Allen to keep it tight once we went ahead would've been more obvious

When this clicks, it's going to be very, very good. But kinell, what a kick in the balls to concede like that. Super header from Benteke for our's. Very pleased again with the work the team are putting in, if not always the quality at the end of it. Really liked the high tempo we're trying to play at and we are looking more solid defensively. Also liked how we responded to the equaliser. Belief growing.

Milner will wanna stop those stupid fucking late lazy tackles, he has done 3 of those the last 3matches. Cost us a goal today. Really fucks me off him and Lucas with their blatant fouls.

Bit by bit we are improving and getting closer to what Klopp wants. Patience is required as others have said.

Still frustrating to let the lead slip though...

We need more goal threat desperately. And Firmino seems to be looking better by the game. Loved the way he just went past one of their players with a couple of feints. And we also desperately need more pace in the front 4. The game itself, I never felt comfortable with a 1-0. We needed another but never looked like getting it. Let's see how things start to improve when Sturridge is back and Firmino reaches full fitness.
Quote from: Dion Fanning

The chants for Kenny Dalglish that were heard again on Wednesday do not necessarily mean that the fans see him as the saviour. This is not Newcastle, longing for the return of Kevin Keegan. Simply, Dalglish represents everything Hodgson is not and, in fairness, everything Hodgson could or would not hope to be.

What was Mignolet doing?

Looked like he was heading out to take a corner. Horrible positioning.

The first question I'd ask is why Lucas let his man get such a leap on him....

Wow. I am utterly disappointed by this result. Thought we had it.

There were a few positives, though... We upped our game in the second half and took much more of the initiative than in the first half, Benteke demonstrated that he is back with a vengeance and finally Klopp's celebration was just amazing to behold. I am hopeful for the future, but it's going to take some time...

Great goal by Benteke
Monero was absolutely boss. That tackle on Mane just fucking awesome .Hope someone has a gif of that
We looked much better attacking in 2nd half with Benteke as striker
Loved that Klopp celebration
Can't wait for the midweek game against Bournemouth.

Very frustrated with the late run there. Predictable - run, dribble, get the ball pinched. He has to pass there, always wants to run with it. He's young. He'll learn.

Also we're dogshit at corners for yet another season. Milner's were awful (and they've been awful for 3 matches or however many he's been assigned to them for) and Firmino's were somehow even worse.

Milner has got to stop committing stupid fouls like that. Just inviting pressure on the defence.

There's a difference between a good foul to give away (the Lucas types) and the bad one, and this was completely needless.

A real kick in the balls of a goal, especially after Benteke's brilliant header.

The team know they have trouble scoring and then switch off and give away a poor goal yet again. Getting sick of needing fantastic finishes to get a goal but conceding Sunday league goals. I don't know how many of these players would be missed,  mentally weak and issues with concentration. I'm so glad Klopp sees something in these players and believes in them because I see very little.

Stupid tackle by Milner. Clearly wanted to get one back over Bertrand/pick up a yellow so he'd only miss a League Cup game. Moronic.

It's a stupid foul from Milner but c'mon lads, it's a free-kick closer to halfway line than goal. There are going to be free-kicks from that distance and we need to know how to defend them.

And one thing to add. I don't understand why Klopp keeps Can on and takes off Lallana. Can just runs forward and loses the ball and he seemed much less effective than Lallana.

Agree. Thought Lallana looked dangerous
