Nice, love the Mosquito.

Last 1/24th scale I had was a Spitfire when I was a kid, last kit I made was a 1/72 Spitfire a could of years back. Really looking forward to building this one.

I got back into it a few years back, first time since I was a lad, now I can't stop buying kits. Absolutely love it. Things have certainly moved on. Incidentally if your into WW1 planes the absolute blue riband of kits are Wingnut Wings. Expensive but state of the art.

All the best.

Just life. It's all good.
Exercise is to the body what reading is to the mind.

"If I hadn't doped, I would never have won". "Doping improves your performance between 5 and 7 per cent, and maybe 10 to 12 per cent when you are in a peak shape.

That little buzz when you realise you're off on a holiday with two of your bezzies in a couple of days - motivation to get all the work sorted and looking forward to leaving that out of office on.

I've got a feeling that Origi is the real deal, from a couple of games I watched but mainly his interviews there seems to be something about him.

I got taken into the control tower while an airshow was on and got to listen to the pilots chatting the ATC.

My eldest son was 3 when he got to sit in the pilots seat of a Lynx, when the Dad of one of my nephews mates (very high up in the Navy) borrowed one and turned up at a passing out parade at Welbeck in it.

After looking at the earlier posts, buying a Spitfire model kit to have a go.  I used to do these with my Grandad when I was a nipper, so quite looking forward to trying again.

Until I get glue everywhere, stick something on backwards, paint the tabletop etc and this post moves to the "small things in life that annoy you" thread  :)

Ha ha, that's all part of the experience.

Did you get a 1:72 scale? I forgot how small they are - I got a MkI Spit from the kids for Christmas a few years back and couldn't believe how tiny it was. We bought the eldest a MkV the same Christmas, he was about 5 or 6, had a great time building it with him. I was rooting in the drawers in our room yesterday and found an un-built Messerschmidt ME109 we bought the lad, but he wasn't interested any more.

I spent over £30 on Saturday night, found an online model shop and ordered all the paints I need for the Huey, 15 in total and also some brushes. I also spent another £10 ordering a spray can of Olive Drab, I'm spraying the body as its 50cm long..

I also ordered these for my youngest, a 1:72 Spitfire and a 1:72 ME109, both diecast, £2.99 delivered. Just order the first set, then cancel the subscription.

I went for a 1:48 scale, so hopefully big enough for my clumsy hands!

Spotted a gold finch in the middle of the road on my way home from walking the dog this morning, didn't flinch as I approached it but didn't appear injured either.  Got it to the vets for a check over then took it back where I found it and it flew off perfectly fine.

Stick with it. I've started modelling, making things not strutting on a catwalk, and you'll find that, gradually, you hands and eyes become coordinated and the amount of glue and paint scattered around your furniture, clothes and skin will diminish.
