There's nore to it than that, too. Clearly the sort of negativity we saw from a few people in here was also at work in the team over the last six or seven games. Following the Man Utd game, a lot of fans just gave up all hope, and so did the players. We all saw how that turned out, so maybe, hopefully a little lesson learned. We could very easily be looking at Champions League football if not for that attitude, and there's no place for it at this club, or among the support.
That is nowhere near accurate. It seems to me that you're trying to connect two different things to score points. The differing views expressed in here have NO effect on the performance of the team. Taking your own argument, since the "...negativity..." which we saw was from "...a few people..." that means the 'positivity' was expressed by the majority. If views expressed in here did have an effect on the team, then they'd have been motivated by that positivity and achieved much better than they eventually did.

Jeez...anyone who says things that the uber-fans don't want to hear are accused of having "...an agenda..." and here you are waving your agenda like a badge of honour. I'm glad the season is over and some have a chance to cool off for a few months.

Strawman. Not what I said.

But for what it's worth, the argument that the fans have no effect on the team? Really? Ever actually been to a match of any kind?

New fixtures have thrown up a fascinating situation for next season's APLT. Playing Stoke, the Derby and the five sides who finished above us in our opening seven away games will give us a par of 28 from the first fourteen matches.

It's going to be very tough, and there may be a lot more attention on the APLT.

We more or less need to be perfect after the first 14 games to not lose points to par right?

This is what we need, I think.

Stoke (a) - 1
Bournemouth (h) - 3
Arsenal (a) - 1
West Ham (h) - 3
United (a) - 1
Norwich (h) - 3
Villa (h) - 3
Everton (a) - 1
Spurs (a) - 1
Southampton (h) - 3
Chelsea (a) - 1
Palace (h) - 3
City (a) - 1
Swansea (h) – 3

28 Total from the first 14 games.

There are twelve Par 1 games, and after we play City away we will only have five more to play. So par for the remainder of the season after the opening fourteen would be 62 points from 24 games.

28 Total from the first 14 games.

Yeah that's the requisite for the APLT.

Realistically though we'll lose a couple of the hard away games going to -1, and need to win a couple away matches to bring our total up.

On the flipside if we win them all we'll be at +14 ;D

Win that lot and they may as well hand over the trophy there and then.

Interesting.  Dare I say, it'll mean theres a good chance we'll be well down the real table early on.  Media pressure will be on Rodgers.

First thing I thought of when I woke up and saw people on Facebook posting meme's of what Liverpool fans looklike alongside the first 7 away fixtures was this thread!

Oof, that's going to look brutal on this thread.  Even in a best-case scenario, we could be top of the APLT, on a hot winning streak in real life, and still have teams reeling us in.

I really, really hope we'll get this going in the coming season as well!

Guys, so I made this table (click to enlargen if its to small!):

Shows the relative strengths of fixtures if all five clubs played on par, each one finishing on 90 points after 38 games. Sorry if it's not quite clear enough, but it's hard to cram 5 lines that follow each other so closely. Ideas on how to exaggerate the differences are welcomed!

Seems like 7 to 13 is going to define our season.
