I don't disagree he should get a long, long ban. But he did it on international duty, and thus Uruguay should be the ones getting the shit-end of the deal. Not us. Hopefully an appeal can get it down to 2 months.

If there is any way we can appeal we should, don't see how they can punish LFC for something done on international duty. Could we completely disregard the ban seeing it's FIFA and not the FA? Won't surprise me in the least if the FA cooperate and ban him for the length of the suspension though.

Why should that be the case though, can anyone honestly say that biting somebody is an order of magnitude worse than breaking somebody's face with an elbow, they have basically declared that he would have been better to have butted the italian player given that Costa got no ban at all for his earlier in the competition.

Serial legbreakers do not get banned from all football for subsequent offences though and they do far more damage to their opponents.

A lengthy international ban would be fair enough as a punishment for his actions, but punishing his club more than his country for what happened during an international is fucking ridiculous.

Witsel & Zouma both have had long bans for dangerous challenges. Why people still stick up for Suarez is beyond me.

Two months is similar to last season and he came back on fire, so if we can get another good start it will be like getting a new player.  Luis needs a break, he shouldn't of been playing so soon after his op, he was running on adrenalin against England.  Hopefully we can get in front of a shrink to sort out his issues.

Exactly. If we can't get rid of him he should be fined all of his wages until that point and  made to train with the reserve team.

We need to remember we paid a touch over £20m for him. I know we've invested heavily in wages, but we'd still be looking to get e decent return. Forget £60m/£70m now (and who gives a fuck what Mr Suarez says from this point onwards), the club should arrange a transfer for him as soon as they can.

He's not going to change, and he's doing us more harm than good.

Why would they take it down to 2 months?

That would have little to no effect on Luis at all, it would essentially just mean he missed the rest of the World Cup and a couple of other games. This has clearly been done to ensure he has a long time away from football altogether.
