Taylor is terrible. Every time the ball gets to him around the box he loses it.

Unlucky Borini, that would have been an insane goal if it had gone in!

I've got a feeling that Origi is the real deal, from a couple of games I watched but mainly his interviews there seems to be something about him.

He's too good to be playing for this shower, head and shoulders above the rest of their players. Might move if they get relegated?

Probably go to Everton or someone like that.

Used to frustrate the hell out of me for us that, so many times Carroll would be jogging around the edge of the box or too wide.

He's far better when he's in the middle of the box causing defenders problems

Really want Sunderland to win this for Fabio but at the same time I want West Ham to think they've got some shred of comfort before playing ourselves.

No surprise Sunderland look miles better since Cattermole has come off.

I think a lot more of it is to do with the change of the shape of the team, rather than one player. It was the same against us. They sat back and were poor, unadventurous. But, when they sacrificed a defender and actually went out to try and score goals, rather than not lose the game, they were instantly a better team.

Sadly, they are not good enough defensively or offensively to steal a 1-0 playing 5 at the back. If I was a Sunderland fan, I'd be looking more at Poyet's initial negative tactics, rather than Cattermole's contribution.
Justice for the 96.

Is it better for us if West Ham win this game?

On one hand if they win they feel less pressure to win next week and might play with more freedom; but one the other hand having pressure to get a result might make them more intense to play against...

I for one just want one thing from this game and that a red card for Caroll  ;D

Im doing exactly what youre doing.

He was unplayable at times when he played for City and England. Perhaps he could be again in the right hands?

I really really hope you aren't suggesting we sign fucking Adam Johnson. We are going forwards not backwards.

Think someone mentioned it awhile back. He is just so paranoid about his trip to Brazil. He would rather not give a penalty and get it right than give a penalty and potentially get it wrong.

Does Fifa have some sort of referee rankings where giving reds or penalties loses him points? There must be a reason for his utter incompetence. I can understand that he might have certain bias against us being from South Yorkshire's finest, but why does he bottle it against other teams so often as well?!

Imagine the upgrade in strike partner... going from Altidore/Wickham to SASAS. The gap doesn't get much bigger than that

Won 4, then lost 3, then beat Hull in midweek. It would 2nd successive win, and 6 wins in 9

I honestly don't see what all the fuss about Conor Wickham was about. He's done absolutely NOTHING in two full games. Admittedly the first was at Anfield but he's been useless in this game too.

Sunderland are gonna need to buy a new striker in the summer when we take Borini back

The hammers and Carroll won't be so effective wither long balls next week as we play much higher up the field, they will be win the aerial duels far away from our goal

Borini has been pretty poor to be honest, but Sunderland are just really bad.

imo they were always going to lose with the lineup they chose. Players who were rested midweek like Johnson, Colback, and Larsson would surely have provided more danger than Wickham has done. There was no reason to go with such a defensive lineup to start, and they've looked better now that they've changed it up
