I guess this can either be a 3-5-2 with Sterling (or Moses) and Enrique as wingbacks or a 4-4-2 with toure at RB? Hmmm. IMO its 3-5-2 with one of the CB allowed to step out into midfield.

I'd like to see Kelly or Wisdom going out on loan. Both need minutes on the pitch and with no European football they are both going to struggle this season here.

I think so as well - reserve games aren't going to cut it.  We know they both have talent - just need to play to develop it.

How I see it

Mignolet, Toure, Skrtel, Sakho, Henderson, Enrique, Gerrard, Sterling, Moses, Sturridge, Suarez

       Kolo -- Skrt -- Sakho
 Sterling ------------------ Enrique

Its the same 3412, Henderson shuttled central and Sterling as RWB

                Mignolet
     Toure   Skrtel   Toure
Sterling  Gerrard  Hendo  Enrique
                   Moses
        Sturridge      Suarez

I'm not a fan of Moses in #10 but can't see why Rodgers wouldnt run him out there a third time today.

Is Agger still not 100% fit or has he just lost his place?

Subs bench reveals our glaring lack of options in midfield. It needs sorted in January. 10 mins in and we get an injury to Stevie or Henderson and our only options are bringing on ALberto to play out of position or playing Kolo out of position.

Well, normally we'd have Lucas and Allen. So it's not really as desperate as you're making it out to be. unless you think it's logical to have another CM on top of the 4 we already have?

How can he displace any of those 3? they've been absolute superb.

With Henderson playing centrally we'll actually have a midfielder who is able to make late runs into the box.

Just lost his place it seems. None of the back 3/5 deserves to be dropped on recent form.

Would love to see Alberto in the no.10, Moses isnt suited to it and at times looks lost. Suarez in the no.10 as a CF who can roam anywhere and pop up would be interesting, but is Moses then a ST?

Yeah you're right, I wasn't complaining, just checking if he's fit.

Must be hard for Agger - being made vice captain one minute and stuck on the bench the next. But this is the competition for places we've longed for, it has made Sktrel up his game and now Agger must do the same.

Actually this will be the perfect game for Aspas to make his mark in the premierleague (no offence to palace). I would have preferred him to start in place of moses.

But I can understand why BR doesn't wanna change a winning team.

Hope we aren't playing a 3-5-2 with that line-up. Moses in the hole and Sterling RWB doesn't work for me, but we will see.

Would have been nice to see Aspas or Alberto play instead of Moses or Sterling.

You can look at it any many ways - good chance for Moses to continue to grow into the system, hopefully get an assist or two, help the confidence etc.

Speroni, Ward, Mariappa, Delaney, Moxey, Jedinak, O'Keefe, Puncheon, Kebe, Jerome, Chamakh

Price, Inniss, Campana, Guedioura, Bolasie, Gayle, Phillips

Should be a win here, depends how the first 5 minutes go. Yannick has pace but we'll be able to deal with it if he comes on.

The RAWK obsession with Luis Alberto is almost becoming as bad as the RAWK love in with Dani Pacheco.

What merits a young lad like Alberto to start this game? A hat trick for the U21s? His one start against Notts County where he didn't really make a mark on the game? His loan spell at Barcelona reserves?

Or the fact he's Spanish and has a sexy name?

Let the lad grow and develop into the first team before putting all this ridiculous pressure on him.

Team as expected.

Good see to see Sterling at RWB. It's an offensive position and selections should reflect that. Sterling, Ibe, Henderson and Moses should all be considered before even thinking about the likes of Wisdom or Kelly for that position.

I'd still prefer to see Luis Alberto given the #10 role. Moses is a good direct runner and a threat but a playmaker he isn't.

Rodgers clearly wants to have them for dinner, good so.
One thing does need to be said: in the post-Benitez era, there was media-led clamour (but also some politicking going on at the club) to make the club more English; the idea being that the club had lost the very essence of what it means to be ‘Liverpool’. Guillem Ballague 18/11/10

So damn nervous after the Southampton game (among countless others). Stating the obvious but I'd love an early goal.
