Some good news on Alisson there hopefully.

That's great news.

Alisson is ahead of schedule in his recovery from a shoulder injury.

Klopp had initially feared that Liverpool would be without the Brazil No 1 until after the November international break. However, Alisson is close to returning to training and as long as there’s no reaction, he should be back in goal before the end of October. That’s a major boost with the trip to the Etihad to face City currently scheduled for November 7.

First game back after an injury, it's common sense having a scan, just to make sure he hasn't aggravated it.

I love Joel, but he's approaching the same case as Sturridge was these days. Let's just be honest with ourselves about that.

I do remember Jurgen calling Sturridge out at one point over knowing the difference between a 'little pain' and 'actual pain'.

People are saying 'wrap him in cotton wool', or limit his contact training... It really doesn't matter.

Assume they are on the "B" list - Players under 21 that can be added to the CL Game Day Squad with 24 hours notice.

EDIT - Obvs not for Phillips as he's clearly not under 21.
