I always found funny the amount of people in Chile named 'Kevin' and 'Charlie'. I also knew a lad with some very Spanish sounding first names who's surname was Lewis.
hehehe you'd be surprised by the amount of people over here with horribly butchered english-sounding names
Like, try to come up with many spelling variations of "Michael", "Byron" and "Jason" as you could probably think of and I'm 100% there's a poor sod with that name in this country
As an aside - I have a friend with a
very English name (Michael Bedwell) but he barely knew a couple of english words back when we first met. I'm sure he's gotten a lot better as time has passed. Great guy, though.
My Great grandfather was there for years (1921-26 ish) - one of those fellas that left home and turned up 5 years later. Kenny Jones his name was, little bandy-legged scouser covered in navy/sailor tattoos - I've never been to Chili but I'm sure I've got a few cousins over that way
PS and there was a really great Chilean restaurant called Valparaíso on Hardman Street in Liverpool - closed a couple of years ago though.
oi, that's so cool. I wonder if he ever talked about his adventures here.
