Was on itunes last night - not that I ever give them any money but I started listening to some boss tracks from my teen years, then you have the whole 'users who bought this also listened to....' etc. which led me on a journey back to the 90's when there were some fantastic bands about, many of whom I was and still am a massive fan of, I'm not too keen on the 'indie' or 'britpop' tags a lot of music back then was labelled as there were plenty of original bands who were writing good songs with unique lyrics and so on.

It got me thinking that a thread might be in order as there are plenty of Rawkites out there with similiar tastes and old age

There's already dedicated Oasis threads on here so deliberately leaving them out - would rather

Anyway, I was thinking back to the Britpop kind of era (or even a couple of years past its peak)...

I loaded a couple of those Shine compilation albums onto my iPod a while back which brought back some good memories. I won’t list the Oasis, Blur, Pulp types, but a few other slightly more forgotten bands (or just individual songs) from the mid 90’s that I liked:

Nice one Nick, you have a few similiar tastes to what I have in the OP, thought this would generate more interest though.

In the url above, delete from the forward slash after .com as far as the 'v' for video.
See where I've underlined here.....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=--TwfsHgA6U Delete that bit and ALSO delete the = symbol after the v. and REPLACE IT WITH ANOTHER forward slash symbol /
So now you're left with... http://www.youtube.com/v/--TwfsHgA6U

Insert the new edited url between the flash tags.... [ flash=200,200][/flash]...

and you then get your result...

Fair enough - and more than happy to be proved wrong! Just get the impression they're not spoken about in the same glowing terms as some of their peers but they have an immense back catalogue. Seen them live a couple of times too and they put on a good show.
