PSV sacked their manager today. Losing 6-2 at home to Twente was bad enough, 4-2 at Valencia wasn't great either and yesterday they screwed up big-time, losing 3-1 to lowly NAC Breda.
Feyenoord's title push looks like it's over after a disappointing 1-1 draw with Utrecht.
Twente with Steve McClaren weren't great either, losing 3-1 at NEC.
Heerenveen are still the surprise package, and they won 4-2 against Excelsior and profited from the rivals' dropped points.
Ajax looked down and out for the league, but they won five on the trot, the latest victory an easy 3-0 against RKC.
But AZ are the league leaders, winning 0-2 at De Graafschap after a struggle. Rasmus Elm, their star man scored directly from a corner kick for the second time this season.

The six title contendered are ranked as follows.
1. AZ 52
2. Ajax 49
3. Twente 48(with a game in hand)
4. PSV 48
5. Heerenveen 48
6. Feyenoord 45
Different week, different story. All of the top six were in action yesterday. It panned out surprisingly. Which is no longer a surprise.
AZ screwed up. Giant-killing NAC Breda were in town. Last week they were the last team to play PSV under Fred Rutten's reign, now they went to the league leaders and managed a creditable 0-0 draw which could have even been more.
Ajax were in action at ADO Den Haag, a Millwallesque team who despise Ajax to the bone. They looked in for a difficult game until ADO were reduced to ten for a horrible, sickening, bizarre tackle. Ajax got a straightforward 0-2 win in the second half and the ADO fans proved themselves as terrible people at the end. Ajax are within one point now.
PSV got their new manager, it's Philip Cocu placed in charge until the season's over and probably beyond that. First up were high-flying Heerenveen and the players looked liberated. Heerenveen weren't great and lost 5-1 with some lovely PSV goals.
Twente are fucking up at the moment. They were dumped out of Europe on Thursday and yesterday Feyenoord came to town. The Rotterdam side managed a comfortable 0-2 win there so it's consecutive losses for them.
Gets us this table. As close as it gets.
1. AZ 53
2. Ajax 52
3. PSV 51
4. Twente 48(with a game in hand)
5. Heerenveen 48
6. Feyenoord 48
Next week will be vital in the title race. Twente play twice, at De Graafschap and ADO. Heerenveen have lowly VVV at home, Feyenoord go to De Graafschap, AZ play RKC(with Nemeth, who got the winner for them Saturday) and it's Ajax - PSV.
