There are a lot of idiots on that forum who think that Rafa is shit, althought let's face it, it's not just Sunderland fans who feel that way. No point going over it again. Just to add some balance, I had this email from a Mackem mate on Monday so before Bruce was sacked. He's a fan of Rafa but doesn't think he'd want the job. He seems to favour O'Neill from 'the usual suspects' but given that he hasn't favoured him ahead of Rafa that's fair enough:
"Did you see the manner in which we conceded losing goal to Wigan? Shambolic. Fathead has only picked up 1 point form a winable 6, if it wasn't for the north west trio doing spectularly poorly, we could feasibly be bottom. As it stands we're definately going to be in a relegation battle. Who do we get to replace him? Rafa - unfortunately think he's just too big for us. Having last worked with talents at Inter, lets face it working with a large group of players deemed surplus at united coupled with thug of a captain, is going to be quite the come down. M O'neill is out of work, like to see him at least approached, but again feel he'd turn us down. Think with relative money we have to spend could try tapping up Moyes, but I've heard he's been ear marked to succed at Tottenham should Harry take the England job. That or we take a punt on young manager and see, but I don't know many young mangers out there and that step, historically, into premier always seems quite a big transition.
