If this is his first light training session, when can we expect to see him in full training with the rest of the team?

Not familiar with the way training works, especially with someone coming back from injury, could someone explain how the training would/may progress and the timescale involved, if thats possible.

Depends how well he performs in light training. I'd hope if hes in decent shape he'd only need 3-5 days of light training before they build it up to training with the rest of the squad.

I'd love him to be ready for matches tomorrow, even if its twenty minutes. If we lose him again now then its going to be a bigger blow then the last.

Realistically I dont think he'll be having 60minutes or more before christmas maybe 90 around the new year when the fixtures are a bit more compact.

Hopefully we have a solution to the loss of Lucas and temporary loss of Spearing that doesn't involve Gerrard, I'd rather consider his presence a plus than a necessity.

Is there a chance that the club are giving him as much time to recuperate as possible (from whatever's wrong with him) but know deep down that there's a chance he may have to come out at some point and officially 'retire' from football?

Am I just worrying too much that we'll not see Steven Gerrard pull on the number 8 shirt again?

They'll want him to have at least 2 more weeks training before he's back. I reckon we could see him on the bench for Boxing Day.

Yes, we should all have guarded optimism.  I'm expecting him to have a start-stop type of season anyways, as far as injuries.  One thing though, his athleticism remains intact (including his phenomenal acceleration), so all this time off will at the very least be of use for next year.
yep spot on

He just needs to carry around a bottle of TCP at all points, if he gets a cut, throw some on, gets a graze, throw some on, has a bruise throw some on.
It looks to me as if we have signed another 'average' player. I'll hold back my complete opinion until I see the lad play

Scott has already said the 30th. And I think that will be about right. A few more days without the ball then maybe full training next Thursday/Friday. Then the next week a full week of training ready for either Blackburn on boxing day or Newcastle on the 30th. Bench for Newcastle would be my guess anyway.

Imperative that he is not rushed back from this, as much as he may be biting at the bit.  Having him available for the games between January and May is far more important than getting him on the bench next weekend.

Glad to see Gerrard back in light training, so long as he maintains a decent level of fitness through the remainder of the season he will be like a new signing.
I watched a YouTube video and decided that Paul Konchesky looked like a player.

I heard from a really reliable source at the start of the week that Stevie thought he would be about 2 weeks away which would mean Wigan was a possibility. I think that is ambitious but here's hoping.

Well only 4 days in between boxing day and 30th anyway, either way it'll be excellent to have him back.
