Would like to have seen Hendo start though. Thought he deserved it following his cameo against the Mancs.
Football without fans is nothing.

We've won 18 titles, 5 European Cups, 7 FA Cups, but today must be the greatest victory of all.

When was the last time this bod got anything right?
It was his prefered line up, get over it.

Why is Agger not starting?

Looking forward to Bellamy/Suarez/Kuyt though.

A few things, since you ask;

- Carra at home to Norwich? He's too slow for these games, Agger/Skrtel allows a higher back line.
- Johnson ahead of Kelly? What's Kelly done wrong? Johnson looked shaky at Rangers.
- No Carroll. He was very good against Wolves, scored us the vital first goal against Everton, and been dropped since. Why?
- No Henderson. Finally there's some space in central midfield for him when Lucas is out, and he's dropped. He did extremely well against the mancs.

3 points and all those become irrelevant....its an attacking side and the team still gets questioned.

Carroll doesn't deserve to be starting. You can't really put a case for him. He scored at Everton, but his general performance was shocking in fairness.

Kenny knows.
He did very well against Wolves though, and was one of our best players on the pitch in Glasgow.

I hardly ever question the team selections actually, thank you very much.

I question this selection. And it's the first I question for quite some time.

Carra shouldn't play these games. What's the point with an attacking line up when our back four is not pacy enough to keep pressure up?

Djphal says it's this.

Starting XI: Reina, Johnson, Carragher, Skrtel, Enrique, Downing, Gerrard, Adam, Bellamy, Kuyt, Suarez.
Subs: Doni, Flanagan, Agger, Spearing, Henderson, Carroll, Maxi.

If that is defo the line up, I'm well happy with that!

Especially when he played in a meaningless mid season friendly. That's quite annoying actually, and make very little sense.

Got the fear for a mo that we'd go with Henderson on the right with Tommo's line up ^. Kelly got a niggle? An interesting mix if djphal is right. Glad Bellamy starts. A few 'free' roles in there perhaps?

We have to remember that the training we don't see can also play a big part in selection.  Simply watching them for 90 mins two or three weeks ago doesn't not make us experts on who should play today...

Can't see us keeping a clean sheet with that back four.

Me neither. Had to revise my prediction as a result. Think it will be 15-1 to us now instead of 15-0.

Seriously though, plenty of attacking options in there but can see us conceding at some point. Probably from a counter attack?

Maybe Skrtel is better in the air than Agger? (Both similar height but Skrtel weighs more)

Carra/Skrtel isnt a bad partnership though, we went most of late last season/nearly won the league with that partnership

Carra won't be eased out yet mate, not until we know Coates or Kelly can make the full step up into centre backs.

Carroll did have a good game against the bitters and wolves but was shite against Rangers and I agree with you that Henderson should have started.

Kelly may also have a knock, hence him not starting.
