If that was a human he'd be helicoptered to hospital, off work for 6 months have back issues for 20 years and then start legal proceedings against the wheels owner"

Torres coming back? It's completely wishful thinking on most people's part. I wouldn't have him back at all. Imagine being a Liverpool player right now who saw him leave for Chelsea on deadline day having put in a transfer request and then have him back. It would do no good whatsoever to anyone and Dalglish and Commoli would never have him back. Let's say he never played for us before, would you take him back if you were either of them, knowing his form in the past year and a half? No way. It just wouldn't happen and it's a stupid thought IMO.

That being said, a fully fit and in form Suarez and Torres would have been fucking brilliant. Torres failed to see that and is now probably regretting his decision.

I'm past the stage of hating him and I'm a 100% over him leaving for Chelsea. As good as a player he was, he's woeful nowadays (hopefully this doesn't bite me in the ass tonight vs Bayer).

he definitely will. it's only a matter of time

Watch him score a brace tonight against Leverkusun and then the winner against United. He needs a couple of goals and then he'll be back, although I don't think he'll reach the levels he did in his first and second seasons here. I'm over Torres now, like Kenny said, the most important players are the ones who want to be here.
Let us never forget Rafael Benitez and what he did for us. A fighter full of guts and passion. A gentleman full of class and dignity. A football manager full of intelligence and pure genius. A Legend.
Adios Rafa, buena suerte.

Don't know why having him back is even mentioned every time there is a Torres thread. He fucked us over big time, would any take Owen back? No.

Granted Owen went to the mancs but both of the little pricks fucked us over to suit themselves/agents. Suarez is more capable then Torres anyway, and has a winners attitude, something that cannot be said for Torres.

I don't think that will happen. He doesn't even look like scoring, so even a couple of goals are a pipe dream for him right now, never mind getting 20+ this season.

Life's about forgiveness and second chances isn't it ?
Do the same rules apply to football ?
Now theres a question
Its a bit like your bird clearing off with someone else, and you meet her on a night out while with your new bird, and she whispers in your ear she wants you back and re-kindle the good times.
What do you do ?
Answer: Tell her to f**k off she's past her sell by date anyway

 :o

Now then, there IS a question "....and she whispers in your ear she wants you back and re-kindle the good times".  You are right...you say f!*k off".

But if the proposal is "....and she whispers in your ear she wants you back and to re-kindle the good times".  You are very wrong...you say where and when.  Well I would.  You see, it depends on how much you really love your latest.......sorry! sorry! sorry!  I thought this was the "help in relationships" thread

I'm starting a new website. It's called:

isfernandotorresoutscoringdavidluiz.com
Balotelli, Falcao, Cavani...

I'll be shocked if it's anyone other Etoo. Etoo or no-one. Simples.

In fact, I'll do you all a favor and ban myself from the January transfer window forum if we get anyone other than Etoo.

It´s funny, when watching Torres in this Chelsea shirt you really get the impression he lost completely his way of play.

With us, he was Torres, even when he was not so good.

Now he is just some striker struggling through a low.

One thing does need to be said: in the post-Benitez era, there was media-led clamour (but also some politicking going on at the club) to make the club more English; the idea being that the club had lost the very essence of what it means to be ‘Liverpool’. Guillem Ballague 18/11/10

Yeah, this is exactly what I was saying.

He doesn´t fit into the way they are playing at all and he looks like trying to fit in by giving up everything he is about as a footballer.

He isn´t Torres anymore...

you're not the only one thinking that - there was a triangle of passes knocked around him by the full backs and the arms went out at his team mates.

Thats because defenders used to be scared of him, he doesn't carry that threat any-more and they don't feel the need to double mark him.

Scored 1 goal at the end of last season - jammy goal against West Ham (?) involving a puddle of water.

People like Kenny and Fowler, deserved their second comings Fernando Torres doesn't.
That ship has sailed so far, it has docked in Barbados.
I don't want him to score for Chelsea, but I couldn't give a damn if he did, let us all move on.
I got the Lucas thing wrong. Will be right on Henderson though. Play him RM, play him CM - Not good enough and never will be.

They were hardly Messi-like assists. The first one he passed the ball to Luiz who took a pop at goal and scored. The second one he was on the edge of the box there were two unmarked Chelsea players in the box he could have picked out and he did. He did well for the second one.

He was poor tonight. Looked like he was trying too hard at times, other times looked like he didn't give a shit. Looks like a different player. Be surprised if he started at the weekend.
