Play a highbackline please.
A Liverbird upon my chest, we are the men of Shankly's best. A team that plays the Liverpool way, and wins the championship in May.

This should be a comfortable 3 points. Yes they played well against City but i doubt that they would have performed like that away from home. 3-0

Yeah that's the spirit! Get behind the team and that!

Think it'll be a close game. One we should win though hopefully.

I;d be tempted to start suarez up top with kuyt. Carroll is a good option off the bench in this game.

Kenny might play 3 at the back if Skrtel can make it:

                            Reina

          Skrtel      Carragher      Agger

Kelly         Lucas       Spearing        Enrique

                           Adam

                 Kuyt          Suarez

I think Kuyt should play, as Carroll would probably be more effective as a sub at the moment, to mix things up. Spearing deserves a start, he was really good in the Carling Cup game.

Owen Coyle is a really good manager and Bolton shouldn't be underestimated.Think it'll be a really competitive game, if we play to our potential then we've got the personnel and the ability to beat Bolton by a goal or 2.

But I'm worried about our psychological approach to the game

Good Lord...

yes, we need 5 defenders against the mighty and high-flying Bolton, at home

and we need to bench our 35m pound striker who just scored

and Adam is all of a sudden a CAM

Any news on Mr Roma Relish?
Quite hoped he'd start v Bolton after his excellent arsenal cameo and link up play with Loose Wires.
It's true to say that if Shankly had told us to invade Poland we'd be queuing up 10 deep all the way from Anfield to the Pier Head.

Reina, Kelly, Carra, Agger, Enrique, Lucas, Adam, Henderson, Downing, Suarez, Carroll.

Best back 4 with Johnson out, surely no debate.

No Gerrard or Raul - only Spearing could surely get into the midfield, and he shouldn't. Henderson needs more game time.

Downing playing well. Only real decision is which two of Carroll/Kuyt/Suarez you choose. I'd go with the two that scored midweek, both well set to trouble Bolton. I like Kuyt but I think the other two are playing better atm.

Subs: Doni, Flanagan, Skrtel, Spearing, Maxi, Kuyt... N'Gog? We don't have many other midfield/attacking options. Maybe Robinson or Shelvey instead.

I'd personally have Kuyt instead of Henderson. I'm quite happy though to go along with whatever team dalglish chooses. Won't be an easy game, but we have a good record v Bolton in recent years which we can hopefully maintain. I'll say 3 - 1.

I don't really want Henderson dropped for this one (as many of you are choosing Dirk over him). I have a funny feeling that he is going to have a very good game. Looked great at times against Exeter and Arsenal, just needs to be a bit more consistent.

Hard game this one, tough midfield and Davies is a proper ahndful. Can't see this one being a goal fest by any means. Would snap anyones hand off for a one nil.

I'm more worried aboutt his lot than I was Arsenal, which is high praise for the job Coyle is doing with them.

They dont frighten me at all. Even under Hodgson we beat them twice last season.

Should be pretty confortable. Just as long as we play football like and dont start playing to their strenghts by hitting the long ball to Carroll all the time.

                 Reina

Kelly Carragher Agger Enrique

             Lucas Adam

     Maxi     Suarez    Downing

                   Kuyt

Think that this is a side that would put Bolton under the most pressure from the off. I feel that in terms of getting three points this would be what I would go with, Carroll is the obvious ommission he is struggling at the minute and I think that Carroll maight actually benefit from a 20 minute cameo in the fashion of Suarez vs Arsenal, hopefully comes on, gets a goal against a defence that has been destroyed by Luis Suarez and co. He is struggling and I think he could do with having a bit of pressure taken off him.

Maxi is a brilliant footballer and he links up wonderfully with Suarez and for that reason I feel he should be included, plus he go a brilliant goal against them last season and has seemingly continued his excellent form from last season into this judging by his performance midweek. Henderson did well in midweek but Dirk is a starter for me whenever he is fit, and Henderson has plenty of time, Downing comes back into the fold and we return to the defensive line and centre midfield pairing that served us so well at the Emirates.

For what it is worth, I think we are more likely to lead with this forward line;

    Kuyt      Suarez      Downing

                 Carroll

And I don't see us having any problems with that either.

Think we are in good form, have a good squad at Kenny's disposal and should take three points.
Looking forward to this one, Bolton will provide a good challenge to us and I would imagine that they will play some decent football themselves, so look forward to a good contest.

I got the Lucas thing wrong. Will be right on Henderson though. Play him RM, play him CM - Not good enough and never will be.

'Despite their  cup pedigree - since they've returned to the top flight in 1962 - Everton have, after today's results, once again gone further in the FA Cup than their much vaunted neighbours. For the record it's Everton 23 Liverpool 22  and 7 ties in 52 seasons'

And you established that he 'likes to play 3-5-2 against strong physical teams in Anfield from the 1 time we played 3-5-2 last season away at Chelsea, right?

And even when we have played 3-5-2, of the 5 midfielders, 2 are full backs who in that system play wing backs, we don't just line up with 3 CBs. It would be 3 CB's and 2 full backs who also operate as right/left midfielders.

It's a strange one, the only question for me is RM, will Kenny use Kuyt or Hendo? By default we'd go with Kuyt but I don't see us not having a striker on the bench and Kenny really doesn't fancy Ngog. Even though Henderson has played 90 mins mid-week wouldn't be surprised seeing him play from start but my money is on Kuyt to start as well
