I love listening to Pleat, he's so bonkers it's brilliant  ;D

Such a contrast to the ... (edit: back to this, post-Maicon goal!) Alan Smiths, Gary Nevilles of the World. He comes out with such bollocks and so many clichés (that he often gets the wrong way round!), fantastic!

Oh wow Maicon

If you discount Juventus having titles stripped for Calciopoli, this is the first time since 2002/03 when he was with Ajax that Ibrahimovic hasn't won the league

Bit of a surprising result the Milan one, the final score anyway. Couple of dodgy penalties (1st and 3rd) but AC seemed a bit nervous perhaps? Zlatan scored a very good goal but other than that, Inter soaked up whatever was thrown at them and countered nicely. Although you just can't legislate for Maicon - that was one hell of a strike :o

Still think it can be done in the Premier League - with a good system, good scouting and a good unit with strong mentality.

Of course but if done properly, it can be done. Just need everyone working together properly as a collective - all 100% determined in accomplishing one goal.

Not a very good analogy for me. Juventus are massive club and have spent very heavily in the past five years. The past two seasons had been woeful for them, but they had finished second the year before that. This championship is more of a reflection of how underwhelming they had been the past two seasons than anything else. This is the old guard returning to the top after not so long a wait, considering relegation for match fixing and all. Not really a shocker, like Newcastle winning the PL or something.

And of course, the players. You just cant get away from that.

I was watching Toure Aguero Silva and Tevez today and they got it and kept it. A huge % of the time. Ball retention, its sounds so easy to come out with but its true. We have Gerrard and Suarez who use the ball brilliantly from Midfield and Attack. You can have the grit all you want but if you simply dont have the tools youre going to struggle

Well that's why I said good scouting as well. Everything is about the collective. With good scouting you find some good players for decent prices. Intelligent, mentally strong players that fit a system set in place.
