I really don't like chelsea, really annoy me as a club and one of the few in the league i have real dislike for but that is a hell of a strong attack. Hulk isn't an amazing player in my opinion but he's still a good one and he will improve here AND suits the league. I was one of those moaning about Mata all last summer and Silva in the summers before his move to city because they were both clearly top talents suited to the league over here and for me Hazard falls into the same group.
I hope Torres flops again next season and they put a lot of faith in him and don't bring in any other strikers. Chelsea (if they tie up the hulk deal and bring in two or three others) will be up there challenging next season. They have moved quickly in this window and are making signings with real intent. I wish we would do the same but i'm sick of banging the same drum over that. Arsenal looked to be in the same boat with the Podolski deal being wrapped up so quickly and the M'Vila one looking like following it but that seems to have broken down so i'm still unsure on them. Since Flamini they haven't really had that real battler in the centre to break up play for them, i do rate song but M'Vila would be a strong strong signing from them.
Teams are making very big moves in this window and the league next season is going to be harder than its ever been. Roman is showing with these signings that he won't allow his team to rest on this seasons 2 cup wins, he means business and they're looking strong already with 2 huge signings
That is pretty awesome. But the likes of Cole, Lampard and Terry aren't getting any younger and someone is going to have to push them out of the squad. Villas Boas tried to and look what happened to him.
They will be phased out, many think its unlikely and this whole player power thing comes up but it will happen. Terry is in most danger (and rightfully so), he's made some appalling mistakes this season and the very players he partners have the ability to keep him out of the side given a manager with the balls to drop him, very similar to the Carragher situation here with Agger and Skrtel. Luiz and Cahill are talented centre backs and are only going to get better. Cole is still brilliant, i hate him but i give credit where its due, he's still got alot of time left in him in my opinion, still puts in star performance and doesn't seem to be losing pace or stamina. In Bertrand they have an excellent back up who can be eased in and got a decent amount of gametime last season, that cup final with have done him the world of good. Lampard is still a very good player aswell, still grabbing goals and playing good stuff, i think AVB was a little hasty in trying to force him out and Lampard isn't really the arrogant 'i'm better than everyone' type, i think he will respectfully accept when the time comes for him to take more of a bit part role, but he realises that time hasn't come yet and he can still contribute a huge amount. His experience is very important for their side and their manager shouldn't be in a rush to force him into a squad player role.
