How come Flanno isn't playing? Thought he was in the squad?

Pulled out with injury hasn't he?

Him and Shelvey both pulled out through injury.

Ngoo puts england ahead at the end of the half.

Been lucky not to get booked by the looks of things.
When your Mum used to pick you up from school and you'd run out and be like 'Mummy I got 9/10 in the spelling test today', would she go 'phenomenal, son'.

Cos if she did she's a stupid fuck.

Of all the players in the Spain squad, Isco impresses me the most. The way he moves with the ball is a joy to watch. I also like Koke, he keeps it simple but does it very effectively, and has a lot of similarities to players like Alonso and Xavi. Muniesa is another who looks good, even though (I think) he is playing out of position, and Ruben Pardo, who I hadn't heard of before watching these games. Some great prospects in this team.
Isco is a gem. Saw him in U17 competitions for the first time where he impressed me, and he impressed me yet again. Very refined.

Delufeu gets a lot of hype from Barca, but he is relatively an erratic player. He was as an U17, he is still erratic now. I am not even sure if he will make it in Barca.

OT: But are you from Barcelona mate? Or Spain in general, or just an English supporting Barca fan?

Because your English is quality if so!

Agree but remember even though he is playing with the U19's, he only turned 17 in March. He doesn't seem any 'less erratic' than when I saw him in the U17 Euro's last year, but if I am not mistaken he has only played a handful of times for Barca B. I think once he becomes a regular then he'll probably start to mature, he definitely has the talent.

Yeah, but if my observations are right, erratic players stay erratic in most cases. Xavi, Iniesta, Thiago, Messi etc. had the basics right even at the very young age. Not to say the erratic ones don't become top players, but I don't see them improving some parts of their game drastically.

Incidentally, when I watched Torres play for Spanish youth sides, I thought he was really an erratic player, even though he got the best player award, I believe. I think it was Euro U19. But Iniesta was much much better, a more refined player than him. Torres got the award for scoring goals, though.

Delufeu has this Luis Garcia like attributes. Can do something brilliant, but can lose the ball needlessly. His touch can be woeful, too. Hopefully, he proves me wrong though. Fingers crossed.

England vs. Spain in just over half an hour, five LFC players in the England team:
Butland, Hurst, Robinson, Wisdom, Taft, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Coady, Ngoo, Ince, Kane, Obita.

Spain pretty strong as well:
Edgar, Blázquez, Muniesa, Amat, Sergi Gómez, Koke, Isco, Sergi Roberto, Morata, Sarabia, Juanmi.

Would have liked to have seen Rafa Alcantara, apparently Spain's most talented player in this age group. Is he injured?

England equalize, 1-1.

Spain complaining that the goal was scored when a defender was injured on the ground during the buildup, however the magical healing powers of the goal made him stand up right after the English scored.

Lulz, classic ingerlund, get twatted, lump it into the box, elbow the opposition and bundle it into the net.

Decent assist by Ngoo.
