A fantastic PC by King Kenny.  Also Terrific of him to give credit to Rafa about his work on the Academy.

We owe a big debt to Rafa, not just because of that, but because he brought Kenny back to Anfield, and that put him in a position of complete familiarity and intimacy with our players and set up from academy upwards so when he came in off that plane from Dubai he was ready to go.

Kenny is class personified.

"My idea was to build Liverpool into a bastion of invincibility. Napoleon had that idea. He wanted to conquer the bloody world. I wanted Liverpool to be untouchable. My idea was to build Liverpool up and up until eventually everyone would have to submit and give in."

Lovely to hear The King giving credit to Rafa, but equally fantastic to hear something like "We're getting back to doing things The Liverpool Way - in private." Loved the way he put the journo down no nonsense when he asked abot Suarez in the very next breath.

Can remember how Rafa´s been slated for not caring about the academy. Idiots!
One thing does need to be said: in the post-Benitez era, there was media-led clamour (but also some politicking going on at the club) to make the club more English; the idea being that the club had lost the very essence of what it means to be ‘Liverpool’. Guillem Ballague 18/11/10

Nice to see him using the reserves how their meant to be used. Giving players a run out who have been on the fringe and youth players too. It can only help our youngsters if some of our big name players get a run out in the ressies. Nice to see him mentioning Wilson and Pacheco as if they are in the first team squad too. Hopefully they start getting more games.

King Kenny says everything perfect when he opens his mouth. What a refreshing change we have had in the way our manager handles press conferences in just 2 weeks or so 8)

His reply to the Sky shithouse had me laughing and clapping my hands. Words can't describe how total his influence and greatness and aura is. The living embodiment of us, cuts the Sky beaut down to size, a smiling assassin. Always, always, always says the right thing.

Basically, in a few seconds, he put SKY in its place. They are incidental - a bystander who will get polite glimpses of the relationship between this club and its fans; but never any influence or pressure to wield in how we conduct ourselves. And all delivered with an assassin's smile. The iron hand in the velvet glove.

The way he bats away ridiculous questions is a joy to behold

But its just like how he always was. Imperious. He just doesn't suffer fools gladly at all. And he puts a creep who uses the name of the supporters as a cover to ask the question. Kenny just saw through that and said, don't pretend to be talking out of concern for them, they know the score, don't take their name in vain.

Its just so right. A great, great man is in control. Everything is coming together.

Fazakerly right. You said it beautifully. He's laying down the terms of his new reign no mistake.

The way that snide used to interview Rafa was pure shithouse, disrespectful, arrogant. To see him put in his place by the King is sublime to see. But the aura he projects is what makes it all the sweeter. That aura will flood all the way through our club as Kenny's influence makes its mark. To the players, and on the pitch.
