Spirit of Shankly - Scotland Branch
« on: September 27, 2010, 10:39:04 am »
If anyone is keen to get a SOS branch going up here give me a bell, We have the RBS headquaters here in Edinburgh so peaceful demos could be an option, there are already 8-10 of us who travel regularly and take part in the protests. We generally meet at pubs around the city centre.

Would be good to get one going right enough. I have zero free time and I'm hours from the big cities though...

Somewhere between Glasgow and Edinburgh for me please. Ta.
All the badge kissing in the world don't make up for the fact that they are, frankly, not Liverpool Football Club. It's not their fault. Its just how it is.

Hi Edinburghred,
How are things progressing regarding setting up a Scottish Branch of SOS.

Our branch in NI is up and running well now so if we can be of any help just let us know by pm'ing me or emailing northernireland@spiritofshankly.com

One of our thoughts as a branch over here to get everyone to know each other better is arranging a pilgrimage to Shankly's birthplace - How would your boy's feel about meeting up with us and acting as tour guides?

Hello mate.

Starting to take off now, around 15 names in the space of a week. A few of us on the way back on Sunday mentioned Falkirk. Glasgow and Edinburgh is only 20 mins either side and on main commuting line between the two places. Stevie who runs the Supporters club through there said he would get some names and help out.
I`ll get everyone to give me there email addresses in the next few days

Hello mate, starting to get some names now.

That would be a great idea. I`m sure some of the lads from the West would help out with the tour...

I`ll keep you posted on numbers etc, and see you some of you at the Blackburn game.

cheers

Just a quick one - looks like this branch will be set up and approved shortly.

Is the idea to have it as a Scottish one or city based?

We have a fair scatterring of members from both Edinburgh, Glasgow and smaller towns in between, over the next few days were going to arrange a meeting, and if everyone is ok with it, probably have the first one in Falkirk which is in the middle( 20mins) of both cities.

9 of us will be travelling on Sunday via train, if anyone up here wants to tag along, leaving 8 am Edinburgh, going via Glasgow leaving 9.37am.
I'm hoping to have a date for our first meeting sorted out by the weekend.
