Lets keep the focus on the owners and the banks and the others will follow them out the door.
There is a line of thought that Cecil has a vested interest in the clubs debt to RBS with his Mid Ocean company.

I know this is what you want me to say but it is true that it doesn't suit the agenda. Why should we? Should we say before we play the mancs that whilst Gary Neville is an odious cnut at least he has a great 'tache?
If we were talking about one of our players then I agree we shouldn't be so black and white, but the suits?

On another point although I think JC will prove to be a good signing, I don't think its a major coup.

I'll ask this one back to you: If there wasn't a campaign against Purslow would you consider CP's contribution worthy of specific praise?

I fail to see what credit Purslow should get for this transfer. He's basically picked up an injury prone 'profile' player for free by offering him more wages than anyone else. I dont know the exact sums that Cole will be paid in year 1 but essentially, if the club is sold within 1 year, the total cost to the current regime will be the wages Cole receives in that period. Offset that against the monies received for Yossi (and shirt sales) and its hardly astounding business is it?

Hell - even Rafa can pick up relative unknowns and turn a profit on them.

Correct. Forget about all this 'who eyed up Joe Cole first?' rubbish. The guy was appointed as "temporary" managing director over a year ago. He's been leaking his own agenda to the gutter press. His mandate was to find £100mil investment by easter. He failed. He has NO experience in football what-so-ever, yet the sale and purchase of new players seems to be solely his responsibility now (Hodgson said EXACTLY that in not so few words), and he politicked to get rid of our most successful manager in 20 years (while the fella was on his fucking hols!). Question? Reckon, in anyway this fella embodies any values of The liverpool Way? He's a fucking poisonous snake.

If the signing of Joe Cole on a free is reason enough to over look any of the above, well then god knows why this thread exists. By all means, enjoy the eye candy, (I am!), but don't forget the fight.

Agree we have to keep this thread on the first page or it will be lost forever. The happy dust being sprinkled around the club is refreshing but it does not cover the fact that we are bieng run by dogs.

Had a reply from the business ministry to say thanks for the email and the minister will be made aware of my concerns,probably civil service bullshit but they did answer,

all the journos didn't but then if you figure how many similar emails they will have got would you reply to them all?

That's the whole point.

Shows the for what they are - won't even answer their own supporters.

That's why we waited until now to launch the second stage on Stephen Hester. We would have went with it earlier, but the in fighting on here in the last couple of weeks derailed us.

So, we waited that out and now we can go to Stephen Hester at RBS again. All the info's in here....
