I like the idea of that mate but there would need to be more to it than just sitting there.
The 'stay behinds' that have been done in the past were maybe losing their impact due to the poor numbers attending.

My own preference has always been delayed entry into the ground. Again it needs numbers to get the impact, but if organised effectively it could work.
Even more impact if we could co-ordinate people sitting in selected areas of the ground so the empty seats aren't scattered all over the place.
The media would be forewarned and it could generate interest as it's something that has never been done before anywhere as far as I know.
The difficulty with that is we would have to do it without Union backing as they see H & S issues with large numbers being outside the ground.
I don't share those fears personally and believe it could work as a poor mans boycott.

Definitely agree that there would have to be more to do. Could continue with chants and banners and such. The apathy in our fan base did seem bountiful last season. I would hope that all of the good work being done by a lot of folks in this thread and the other "getting angry" topics have helped inform a lot of the fans that needed a good shaking to finally wake up and smell the odor the owners and our board have been letting off. Read a great example a page or two back, I believe where a young fan had no idea what was going on and someone led him to the well red mag for some basic info. It really shows that all this is getting through to people.

I wasn't there myself, being an oot who lives in the USA but I believe you lot when numbers like 6k are being quoted in attendance at the independence day rally.  If we could get those kind of numbers to stay after it would do wonders in spreading the word. The cival rights movement here in the 50s-60s had sit in boycotts in restaurants and on buses and look at the impact it had.

We could get volunteers at the matches to handout flyers, stickers and booklets with information on/in them that can be easily understood by all. Fat scousers signature "£700,000k in interest per week, enough to pay 7 nandos a week" would have huge resonance to all fans or maybe "£100,000k a day, enough to pay your mortgage for 20 years." This could be used to convince fans to spread information or maybe themselves stay and fight for what is theirs to begin with.

I find it sad as a fan who lives in the united states and has only been to anfield once would be willing to get involved in these campaigns or whatever else is being done than the other 40k or so that fuck off after the match or the millions of fans all over the world.  Not trying trying to lump anyone into that group who is actually doing something to save this club that has brought so many of us some of their best memories in life.

I myself will continue to do everything I can so I can tell my kids when I am older about Istanbul, Cardiff, Rafa, shanks, paisley, dalglish, gerrard, nando or any other future legends and trophies won or lost.

This is an amazing watch really. It's from the HKS guy. £51m plus to reach this stage. They matched some colours to the surrounding area to create a palette, they did some 'site analysis', and they 'interpreted the traditional english stadium in a modern building' to try and get open corners like Archibald Leach might have. And they realised during the analysis and research and learning 'bout other cultures that there's a thing called a Kop which is like hte choir in a catholic church and "runs the show from the end zone".

That'll be £51m please.

Hello Roy.

Just having a little glance at the pages you've posted up so far. If I can make a few pointers without pissing all over your chips...

1. Much better using the three column approach as shorter lines are easier to read.
2. Not sure if the body font is in bold, but if not, another font with a thinner standard weight would be better.
3. I'd swerve using tinted backgrounds under the body copy as it makes it harder to read.
4. Try and pull out the first para with a bigger point size and colour.
5. Try and pull out punch sections of the body copy - similar to the above but a different colour / size / weight of font.
6. Might be worth redrawing a timeline and not quoting the site page as that's quite cluttered.

I know this seems like a list of gripes – yes I'm anal over these things, it's my job. BUT, just by doing a few of these simple 'tricks' you'll transform pages, make them easier to read and more engaging with the reader.

Which programme are you doing this in? If you answer Word, Publisher, Photoshop or Gimp then I really don't envy you one ickle, wickle bit.

If you want to se an example of the list above, just wheel me over a copy of a Word file with the text in and I'll mock up a quick example and fire it back. Alternatively...

just tell me to FUCK OFF.

:wave

:wave

No mate - this is great feedback, thanks!

Another body font with a thinner standard weight - I'm new to this so any suggestions are welcome.

I'm also not sure on point 4 - just need more detail to understand really.

'punch sections' - again, it's a new term to me.

the point on the LFC.tv timeline page image is to highlight that it's still there by the way - the timeline's gonna be clarified in full as I'm doing a piece on the stadium shenanigans in full. for me, the fact it's published with the optimitic tone it has says a lot.

It's not anal at all - it's superb feedback and I need as much of it as Ican get.

InDesign mate - and don't fuck off - more please. If the first issue's not perfect, then no problem.

The tinted backgrounds - this is the thing - there are mixed feelings on that one. In the case above, I think it's possibly down to the 'busy' nature of the blueprint image. But I'll play with it.

Very useful feedback indeed.

Hey guys, I notice that many people are repeating the rumours of the club being sold on July 15th, and consequently deter others from taking any action. If you see any posts like that, you may want to challenge the validity of those rumours so that people do not get taken in.
Liverpool don't turn up against shit teams so Wenger picks the shittest line up possible.

All I mean is that we're all involved elsewhere so it's inevitable it'll slip down the boards - no worries if so.

Well said Bobby.....but err shouldn't that be in the "Guess who I saw in Asda " thread mate.

Probably!

I was talking to a Chelsea fan today, and he's fucking more clued up on the situation that we find ourselves in than some of the masses.  It's fucking scary beyond belief.

I always believed that as a club, we had the biggest activist base of any club, certainly in Britain, and probably up there in the world - not in the same way as the Ultras, the Socios and the Barra Bravas in Argentina, but still we can organise ourselves if needs be.

But fuck me, some of the people on here, are fucking clueless.  It seems that no matter what the likes of Royhendo, FS, Weebrolan and others suggest, there is a sizable and determined minority, who just will not get their fucking heads out of the fucking sand.

Get yourselves in some of these threads.  Join the SOS, it's £10.  That's three rather expensive pints of piss where I come from.

Write letters to your MP.  Start asking questions.  Make them accountable to you!

This is your club, my club, OUR club.  It has given us some of the best nights of our lives.

Time to give back, what the club has given us.   Some people have gone to extraordinary lengths to do that already including those named previously in my post.  It is time for everyone else to do likewise.

What you decide to do, could, just could make the difference.

I would have changed it but it would have took another hour to process the video again.
