Dont understand people saying chelsea win. Liverpool comes first and foremost. Everytime.
If Utd win, its up to us to win it next year then, our history is in the past, too many people looking back instead of forward. Lets finish this season on a semi-high and build up to the new season with hope.

Come on redmen, do it.

Why has the Sky Sports site got Nando starting in the possible starting 11's?

He'll come off the bench in the last minute to say goodbye to the fans.

I don't want united to win, but I hope we go out to win. I would like to see both Pacheco and El Zhar start. Think it would be good to see how they did. Maybe not Ayala, even though I like him, I think it might be detrimental to put him up against Dogba at his current level.

Isn't today the traditional family day?

How are we going to work that around those c*nts celebrating/John Terry crying (again) (delete as appropriate)?

If I was an LFC player I wouldn't want my children near them.
I'll always keep in my heart the good times I've had here, the strong and loyal support of the fans in the tough times and the love from Liverpool. I have no words to thank you enough for all these years and I am very proud to say that I was your manager.

Mancs winning the title will have so much impact next season - more teams scared of them, media wanking giving them confidence, more money for them etc.

For that reason, I don't mind us losing today
All that will happen regardless

I wont be too gutted if Liverpool lose this one and the mancs end up second. On current form we're probably gonna gget beat anyway so I wont lose sleep over it.

However if they smash Chelsea I'll be pissed that they didnt put the effort in earlier in the season.

At the end of the day its been a shite season win or lose.

I'm actually quite confident about winning this game now. There will be too much pressure on Chelsea who have shown previously that they can bottle it.

Honestly don't care about the result, just give a strong showing for the home fans, walk off the pitch with their heads up, no matter the score.

Next week i'd like to see some of the younger lads given a run out though.

I said this in another thread, it's from Torres' book, unbelievably appropriate today:

We are as bad as the fucking blueshite if we start worrying about Manchester United more than our own results. And Torres will realise he is in exactly the same situation he had to get out of at Atletico

Top class, well said mate.

That's my feeling, even if it wasn't the title on the line, they'd want 6 out of 6. At least, being professional and wanting to be winners I'd hope a team would want that.

Mixed feelings on today. A win would be amazing. I absolutely don’t care if the mancs win the league. Means nothing to me.

My feelings are mixed because I’m desperate for us to win but i’m also disappointed with some of Rafa’s comments in the press. I understand his frustration, the politics and that he is negotiating but it’s happening in public and i don’t like it. ‘Things have changed etc’. It get’s on my nerves but thatsjust me. I’d prefer a future with Rafa but it looks like he’s pushing for an exit. If he wants to go and pal up with 'fans' that stab you in the arse at the train station. It's up to him.

As far as i’m concerned. Anyone, no matter who they are, that ‘wants’ to go. Can go. The club lives on.

Beat these horrors please lads.

So to sum up, finishing seventh on 58 points rather than 55 and the Mancs winning the league would be "amazing"?

Do you think the Sunderland players and Sunderland fans would accept it?
I doubt the Sunderland board would accept 'throwing a game' just to please their ex manc manager considering Fulham, Blackburn & Stoke are right behind them in the league. Maybe they cannot finish any higher than their current 10th place but they can drop down to 13th if other results go against them.
Although there is not a great difference in overall prize money for finishing 10th or 13th, I'm sure the Sunderland board will insist on  finishing as high as possible for a slightly bigger cut of the money.

If it's any way possible for them to get a top half finish they'll want it. I don't think Ellis Short will take too kindly to Bruce throwing a game.

I doubt they'll beat Man Utd anyway but they might get a point.

Anything other than a draw please. I would love an empathic victory, even if it does gift united the title. The positive in that is that it would give us a target for the future, to break their record. Wouldn't be too upset if we lose though  :)
