What so QC15 are even decent with say R&B, Rap, pop music etc?
I have the slate/brown Limited Edition ones. However, the QC15s are very expensive. You can get much better sound from others such as the Bowers and Wilkins P5 if you're looking at spending a lot. Even my Sennheiser HD215 sound as good, if a different kind of sound.
The best bit about the QC15s is the noise cancelling. If I use the Sennheisers in the office, I have to turn up the volume to drown out the chatter from everyone else. If I'm on the plane it's simply not possible to drown out the droning without playing the iPod at full volume. How long can you seriously do that?
The Bose QC15s I can listen to music at very low volumes, which means I can listen to it for longer. If I just want peace and quite whether I'm in the office, on a train or at 36000 feet, I can simply switch them on without music and the world goes silent (or as near as damn it).
And the sound quality is pretty decent. Doesn't have the bass that others do, but to my mind that's not what all music is about.
