I never mentioned Neil.

My point was he came through your system after you stole got him from New Jersey in the USA as an underaged  youth.

He was going to be the next big thing. Talked up big. Scored some goals, etc.

But he never lasted. And he's no use to you playing (part time) in Spain. So where he goes after he leaves is irrelivant.

I used Mellor as an example of a player that doesn't make it after being talked up as a kid.
At no point have I said Macheda will become a Manchester United regular and score goals galore on route to trophies-a-plenty.
I simply pointed out that he is unlikely to disappear and never be seen again.
As for Rossi, he scored one goal in a handful of appearances if I remember right.
He was talked up while never having played for the first team, much like Nemeth.

Of course since Rossi didn't become a United regular, and Macheda is likely to be compared to him, then people may automatically assume he will go the same way.
Or, some might compare him to Giggs who also debuted at 17 and say he'll go on to win numerous league titles, FA Cups and European Cups.

All numpties, cos nobody knows.
If it bothers you that much that your wife couldn't join the 'Coloured Society', I suggest you divorce your wife and marry a black woman.  Problem solved.

Can't fucking believe that SKY have put together all of the 'stoppages' from the mancs game so they could show everyone that they add up to 4 minutes and 38 seconds.

That's ok then. Thanks for that, it all makes sense now.

Based purely on the cameo yesterday - he dives a lot, moans a lot, but the goal was very well taken. He then copies the Gerrard kissing the camera celebration. So overall, a bit of a twat.

That reminds me of the Riise own goal shite they pulled because of the amount of added time Drogba managed to add on with his feigning injuries. Rafa complained afterwards and Sky did a "moment by moment" thing to show why there needed to be the amount of extra time.

Reminds me of the time they went looking for where that Dutch ref was brought up compared to Kuyt as well.
Ahh, pressing refresh and waiting for news... just like the bad old days.

Have they gone through every game of the weekend to see if they all add up?

Would they have shown them if they didnt?

I imagine many times 3 mins have been given, sometimes where only 1 or 2 is needed, other times where 4 or 5 were.

It's not that though, it's this huge 'coincidence' where it always ALWAYS happens at Old Trafford. We joke about "Fergie time", but does anyone ever stop to think about where that saying comes from? Whenever the mancs need a goal you'll see people joke that there will be a huge amount of injury time and sure enough there always is, but for some reason it never goes any further than that. People just joke about it, but it's happening every single year.

Did they pull up replays showing Young being onside when the linesman flagged more than once in the second half? I know what you mean though. This year has been especially bad wrt decisions going their way. Anyway, what we're up against is a team that got a victory yesterday they didn't deserve and play a game tomorrow against the weakest in the competition. We can still win the league, I hope we beat Blackburn and Sunderland get their tactics right on Saturday.

Most refs are afraid of Taggart and therefore give them as much injury time as they can. Of course those 5 minutes look okay if you take all stoppages into account, but then again I'd say you'd have 5 minutes of added time in EVERY game. I haven't really seen any over the top time wasting from Villa, there were two goals in the second half (third one in injury time) and there were three substitutions. No way, were those 5 minutes justified when you compare it to your average league game. 3 minutes would have been right and even though the Mancs scored after two minutes, there was something fishy about that decision...

does his attitude suck more than the grease on his hair?

Why is everyone wanking over this kid (Lazio included) as if he scored the winner in the European Cup Final?  He scored the last minute winner against an average Villa side who we SMASHED 2 weeks ago.

Man Utd have conceded 8 goals in 3 games, 6 of them coming at home.  They are not playing well and are going to drop more points before the end of the season.

If Villa had more bottle they would have won this game.  But as soon as the equaliser (which was suspect, looked like he mishit it) went in, they fell to even more fragile pieces and were just waiting for Utd to score the winner.

Spurs, Arsenal, Sunderland and Man City will ALL score against them, just about if they have the bottle to try and win the game.

It is ridiculous the hyping up the press is giving him after one goal.
On the other hand, the goal was important and the fact this thread has gone to 63 pages is proof of that.
If he hadn't scored it, you would still be top and maybe the bookies' favourites to win it.

As for underhand tactics to sign him, he was offered a contract and his father offered a job, nothing more.
The Italians do the same kind of things when attracting youngsters from S.America and Africa.
I personally think there should be consistent rules in place to stop such young players moving but every major league in Europe poaches young players from certain countries.
I doubt the Italians have much sympathy for the Balkan clubs who often lose good young players to Serie A clubs.
Plus, it might benefit them in the long run since there seems to be a proper debate going on in Italy about why kids don't seem to get a chance and are farmed out, with foreign imports given preference instead.

If it's to do with his post-match comments on Sunday about the time added-on, then the FA need to bring Taggart to book for failing to attend post-match conferences after the defeats by us and Fulham.

I doubt it though. The FA have no cojones!
