When do we play our home game 7th or 8th?  I'd of thought it would be the 8th with the away leg on the 14th?

My money is on Liverpool v Arsenal final and us winning 2 - 0

I'll take that bet! :scarf :scarf :scarf

Doesn't matter who we drew...just pleased to be in the last eight and challenging for the title in March!

Arsenal must be absolutely loving this as well. The only way they had a chance of winning the thing was by avoiding all the good teams and they're managing that superbly.

Not sure what you mean by that, if they get past Villarreal they've got to play the current champions to get to Rome.

As for anyone slagging off Rafa fuck off and support Chelsea you horrible c*nts

Yes, which means United have to play on Tue 7th, 48 hours after a Premier League game. Which is the only silver lining on this draw.

Masch suspended for the first leg at Anfield is going to cause some issues now that they have Essien, Ballack and Lampard all fit. Fuming!

Not bashing Lucas, but it's just not the same when he plays there next to Alonso.

Sorry for asking a basic question, but how do we know we would be able to wear red in the final?

I.e. How does a home team get nominated for the final?

uefa draw a home and away team for the final. Winners of the second final were drawn as the home team.
That's us if we beat Chelsea and Barca or Bayern. You can watch a vid of the draw on the uefa website.

Being able to play in red in the final is the only positive I can find in that load of shite. The Mancs got their customery easiest route possible.

Not sure what you mean by that, if they get past Villarreal they've got to play the current champions to get to Rome.

But there's a chance they can get to the final by having played Roma, Villareal and Porto. If they were in our half instead of Chelsea or Bayern, they would not have a chance of winning it because every team in our half would beat them.

If you want to be Champions, you have to beat the biggest teams.

Or in Chelsea's case, the most annoying teams. Tougher tie than we wanted, but lets not forget we've beaten them home and away in the league this season. We beat United without Alonso. We can beat Chelsea without Mascherano.
I'm really hoping Sturridge busts out the wacky dip when he scores.

To be honest im pleased with the draw

Its no secret that when we play the big teams we show up--id hate to get Porto/villarreal and get knocked out cause we are treating them like a Stoke.

This way we (the team-the crowd) we be mad for both ties and thats good for us. I honestly think the Arse, if they can get past villareal will beat the Mancs, due to them playing the same way we did against them --wenger will take note and press em high and let walcott (whose fresh now and match fit by the game) run at rio, vidic

Granted he isnt no torres, but they have more than enough to play the same system we did and get a result in both games against them.

I thik Chelsea was the second best team in the competition behind us on recent form so thats a bad draw--but we will be up for it  and if this year has taught us anything --its that we can compete and beat the big teams home and away.

I think Bayerns way of playing will either get battered against Barca or they will squeak out the result against em so i wouldnt be suprised to see either team in the semi's, but id love Munich in the semi's --not cause they are easier, but it'll be rafa Vs klinsman--they will play it down --but you know rafa will be dessy to put one over that twat once and for all --and anything that makes the yanks feel twitchy is good for me
