Dilemma ..
« on: January 22, 2009, 10:58:08 pm »
Ok heres a question for you.

You play for Spurs, your earn 60,000 a week and your playing Liverpool last game of the season.

Liverpool MUST win the game to seal the league. Liverpool are winning 2-1 and the ball falls to you 6 yards out 2 minutes to go.

Would you bury it home and stay loyal to the club that pays your wages, or would you miss it and stay loyal to the club you have supported all your life with the chances of being slagged off for missing it on purpose?

I would hit home.

We should have been defending better if I had the chance to score the winner against Liverpool.

i honestly dont know

to be honest, that late in the game, i wouldnt exactly be busting a gut to get into a goalscoring position

i would most likely be taking it all in with the rest of the fans!

i wouldnt want it on my conscience, so i would just stay away from the penalty box!

Well, if it ment denying Liverpool the title and handing it to the Mancs I would miss. Also, as long as the team i played for were safe I would miss. Not sure if it ment keeping my team up...my love for Liverpool and the title would have to probably come first.

Kick the ball so hard that the ball transports itsself into another dimension and back into ours, rolling into the back of the Spurs' net.

Would definitely miss and deal with the consequences later. In fact if the ball broke to Defoe I'd 'accidentally' execute a perfect sliding tackle on him for good measure!

There's no dilemma. The two own goals putting The Reds ahead would've been my doing after Spurs lead for 80 mins. 'Missing' that chance would just be the cherry on top.
Ps. I came on in the 85th minute:-P

Is right.

Liverpool winning because someone deliberately handed it to them - surely it's a shame instead of something to be proud of?

In that situation professionalism is likely to take over and most people would score. They would probably look gutted afterwards once it sunk in what had just happened much like Redknapp when he scored the freekick against Blackburn in 1994.

I would score it. The on the next Liverpool's attack, I would make an own goal. When asked, I would say I wanted to score goals, regardless how. I'm a striker, after all! Win-Win solution!  :P
Whatever an education is, it should make you a unique individual, not a conformist; it should furnish you with an original spirit to tackle big challenges; it should allow you to find values to road map through life; it should make you spiritually rich, a person who loves whatever you are doing, wherever you are.

Don't worry...

a) it will fall for Darren Bent

or

b) Kuyt would turn on his superman ringtone his is attached to his arse, run the length of the pitch and header the ball away from the strikers foot, thus Liverpool winning the league and Dirky become King of Liverpool
