17 games left, I think they stand more than a decent chance

No doubt about it on paper.

But they were woeful today - they've got 1/12 points in the "big four" clashes and they're not even beating the smaller sides (home or away really) recently.

They still have to play us, Spurs, Villa and Arsenal away - their midfielders are getting in the way of each other, Drogba looks uninterested, Cech's looking shaky... I just don't see it happening.

Scolari's taking them one way at the moment and it's not upwards.

I agree he is shyte imo that transfer was more about Roman flexing his muscles more than actualy realy realy wanting the player..

45 mins until Roma v Ac

So Abramovich proved once again he understands fuck all about football. They should find a decent back-up for Essien.

Yes, I can't wait for that game, it's unlikely that Beckham will play from the beginning, maybe the last 20 minutes. I will support Roma obviously :P

2 horse race it is then. Bring it on.

I guess March 14th won't be a 3 o'clock kick off now...

Wouldn't it be great if for once they left it a 3pm Ko and still televised it.

I can't stand Manchester United but they played a superb game and thorougly deserved to win, they were flawless in any department. Even Berbatov looked a great player. Chelsea were awful instead, probably their worst game I've ever watched. I'm thinking that the rumours about Scolari being rejected by the dressing room are absolutely true, it was evident by the players' attitude, it looked like they were on the pitch just to do a favour to the fans and their chairman. In comparison to the past they look incredibly mentally weak, a team with no soul, no passion, no determination. Abramovich should sack Scolari otherwise Juve will twat them with relative ease.

Berbatov looked great either I am still bevvied from last night or I am seriously missing something here.

Please discuss.

Think its important to point out, anyone who is worrying about United now. Which admittedly, its hard not too. Just think back a couple of months, Chelsea were winning 4 and 5 nil against teams regularly. Look at them today. Different side. Who knows whats to come in the next 4 months. But we are in this race and personally I can't wait for every game from now till May

Was hoping Chelsea would do us a favour. Guess not. I've never seen them as bad, looked totally uninterested in the match.

That hairy Richard Keys pissed me off, everytime the mancs are on he always fucking sperms whenever they pass the ball. "Let's see this genius play from Rooney.." ...Yeah.

Loved the way Carra was sticking up for Rafa though, mentioning the facts about Whisky nose like twice in the whole program. Go on Jamie!

Now I'm gonna hope Wigan & Bolton do us a favour now. Surely they can't play as bad as Chelsea did....

I didn't say he was the MOTM, instead of 'great player' I should have said 'good', considering how awful he has been so far, but in a fantastic team display like tonight's one also the Bulgarian stood out, that's what I basically mean. It was hard to choose who was the worst in their side, probably Gary Neville. In general their weakest department seems to me their defensive right flank, that's where we have to insist when we'll face them but that's another story ;D

Same as with Chelsea a couple of months ago, I haven't seen anything from the Mancs today (or in recent weeks) that actually makes me think 'fucking hell, no way will anyone be able to take points off them'. Yes, they looked good today, but then again Chelsea were absolutely woeful. Toothless in attack and absolutely awful in defence. The game could have still gone either way, if the Mancs hadn't scored right before halftime. That goal helped them big time and Chelsea just rolled over insted of putting up a fight after it...

three crosses that they failed to defend, or four if you include the disallowed goal

chelsea were not at the races when it came to defending crosses today

Cole should have done something, he must of known where Rooney was.

Chelsea were poor, reminded me of us a few seasons ago against top four teams, just not knowing what to do when they got into the final third, and making silly errors that cost them dear.

I think Wickolfc's from Huyton (Before you tell me to stop being voyeuristic, he wouldn't stop defending Barton at every opportunity, amongst other stuff).

I haven't seen Drogba play for a while now (mainly due to him being injured and then banned), but today he really looked like a shadow of the player who used to strike fear into even the best defenders. Same for the whole Chelsea attacking department. Where they used to have Robben and Joe Cole running riot on the flanks they now have the likes of Deco, Fatty and Ballack trying to put the ball right down the middle of the park where there are about a million bodies in the way.

i said on here years ago, and im not saying it as if im some fortune teller type as others said the same, but the day that they stopped that 433 with robben and duff they became far easier to play against

like us in the past and sometimes now, they play too compact and dont show width, no suprise that they struggled so much and boswinga was hardly able to leave his own half.

United now play a 433 type and look far more dangerous, and it all came from morinho and chelsea ( i realise he was not the first to use this, but in recent times the most succesful, though we suit 433 too)

To be fair he was shit in his first 2 seasons only just getting into double figures so if anything he's just reverted to type Chelsea missed the boat and should've sold him when he wanted out.

Seeing as you've been held back five years, and still go to school, you'd know playground vocab for mongs is changing all the time. All the kids round my end say shite like 'Prime' and shit now, it's a lot different then even when I went to college.

Held back 5 years? I left last year after completing my alevels - i've never heard someone called a prime in my life.

I'm fairly sure the words don't change too much to be honest, maybe words describing good and bad things do, but not the insults.
