Co-chairman George Gillett said: "Tom and I are significant millstones round the neck of the club and I am delighted that the design received full planning consent and that we are now on site, soon the bouncy castle will go up with an initial capacity of 27, to be open in 2016"

about fucking time as well.........
I clutch the wire fence until my fingers bleed,
A wound that will not heal, a heart that cannot feel.
Hoping that the horror will recede,
Hoping that tomorrow we'll all be freed.........JUSTICE.

originally bit concerned it means two morons are staying, but from the sounds of things, this is work that can be done no matter what the stadium design ... just in case somebody else comes in and decides they can afford a bigger stadium like. :p

Finally. So capacity will be 60 000 and we can later expand it to 73 000?

Thats because clearly TH and GG are under control of the whole situation.

And that there is absolute no risk that this can go tits up on them ;)
Aye lad, whens the remix coming out?

Was driving down priory road last night to play footy at the pitz and they've begun digging up the road there...

I joked to the lads in the car looks like they've started the new stadium!!!

Can you fit 60,000 spectators in a big hole? Cos that's all the £60m the Yanks have set aside will get us!

Hmm. When was the last time Gillett AND Hicks both gave an interview to .tv on the same subject.

This has me a little worried that they may have indeed sorted out their differences

Does anyone here live close by? Can you go and have a nose round and see what's actually happening?
I live on Priory Road, working nights tonight, i'm a cab driver, so i'll be very interested to see if they have started at long last, been waiting for them to start this for ages, might be able to get my lad the season ticket he's wanted for the last 4 years, so we're gonna have 3 years of building work going on around us, closed roads, noisy wagons while i'm trying to sleep lol, but it's gonna be worth it in the end, only one thing pees me off slightly and that's if they do ever extend it then there's more disruption to the local people while that happens, they should've just built the 70,000 odd stadium from the off, but I suppose I can live with that too lol, anyway it's gonna be out with the digicam and posting pics of the progress of the new stadium on here, so reds all across the world can see how it's coming along, YNWA

Lets be honest, they can't win.

I'd be more worried if they continued to be on not speaking terms.

So it took a bunch of people who have been together 2 months to start enabling work on the stadium?

And it took the actual owners and their money or rather lack of it a year plus to actually start digging a hole?

How can people stand for this shit?

Change the record you bore. There's a whole sub forum for you to talk crap.

Any chance we can keep this on just the stadium without going into yet another pointless ownership debate.

Isn't there some theory going round about not seeling up before deals are struck for the construction materials?

Talk Crap?

Jesus Christ does this forum feed off false hope or something because ladies and gentlemen that article is packed full of it....

Everything this club does now is related to the ownership issue, the funding of the stadium falls under the ownership issue.

Infact Don't you find it weird that TH+GG haven't put forward a joint statement?

I'm bemused.
