deadline for it to be used up is the end of the year and is for the surrounding works of the park.  And it wasn't LFC who was getting the grant money.  The application was done by Liverpool City Council.
So all say thanks to the Shanks

didnt they lfc/council form some kind of company,to administrate the whole project, ie although its been quoted at £190mill that includes everything from stadium to plazza,to restoration of park and housing, so meaning that grants will be used by everyone concerned with project anfield?
the club only tell you what it wants to tell you?anyway i hope it finally gets started on,as the last owner wasted years and lacked any forsight, and was well paid for it????

I believe if the new stadium is built the west stand, the concave one facing out on to stanley park, will contain a community sports centre; to replace the vernon sangster centre. also university teaching & research facilities.
A cafeteria, toilets & changing rooms will be housed within the west stand for people who use the tennis courts & I think artificial, maybe grass pitches that will be built.
