...but this time at least it is for something different!
Apparently the recent lull in mobile phone useage could be the fault of Liverpool FC because Le Gaffer has declared that they are not to be turned on during matches and training sessions, or indeed when they are inside Mellwood for any reason!
In his own words: "I am sick of them. The players walk in talking on them, go into the changing rooms, the toilets, onto the pitch, always talking on them. I have had enough."
So is our esteemed Gaffer right to go to such lengths for a bit of concentration from players during matches and training? Do you think that he is well within his juristriction to say "phones off before you enter the ground"?
A poll perhaps?
Is GH right to ban Mobiles?

In my "humble" opinion (and the term is used very loosely) he is perfectly right to expect some form of co operation from his players with such issues, as much as they are a part of daily life.
I mean, imagine if every player trained with a mobile phone attatched to their ear, apart from being hillarious to watch it would be disasterous to the teams playing ability.
And what about the match results? We could loose about 10-0 to Everton because our Goal Keeper has only one free arm! And the players would be so busy keeping up with their social lives that they'd just sort of stand around, not really playing. Apart from that I'm pretty sure that there is probably some kind of rule saying that you can't use mobile phones whilst playing.
The other thing is the radiation, imagine all 11 players with phones constantly strapped to their ears..they would have mush for brains. (So THATS whats wrong with Beckham!)
But I suppose like all disciplinarian descisions it would have had some Human Rights twat complaining that it was a breach of the players' rights to free speech. But if the players have any common sense, they'd realise the need for total concentration and listen to what GH has to say, especially with the task that we now face.
