Author Topic: Art Vandelay's Photoshop Thread.. and other wizards too! (Read 9607050 times)

Wasn't sure what to do with this, so I threw a simple background on it. I've a few other versions as well, but this one makes a decent wallpaper. Any suggestions? This isn't the hi res image BTW.

Would love to have a go with Just the liverbird, high res or not. Minus the bg and everything.so there was no cutting involved. Have a look at some of my other walls further back in the thread.

The one of the liver bird looks amazing. However, is it just me (probably) who thinks the legs on the bird are facing an odd angle. Also seems out of proportion to the rest of the body

I think they're fine but I can see why you think they're out of proportion; I think they're just covered by feathers

I know where you're coming from. But the pose of the bird is such that's it's twisting as it turns to fly off with the neck sticking outward. The right wing should probably just be tucked in behind the head slightly.

As for the legs, I know the ones on the crest are longer (the actual bone part) but then again, this is a re-design of the bird, and these ones look more natural like an eagle.

just been on zedge and macphisto's liverbird is on there as a phone wallpaper ( free site ) in this day and age of bluetooth it wouldnt suprise me if every fan ends up with it on their phone, if only you had a quid from each person eh

I'm using it myself, haha. But i just used the one McPhisto posted here, the one with the 5 silver stars, just resized it. Really classy looking.
