Was in Costa Coffee early this morning, just me and one girl working there. And suddenly I burst out laughing because I've got Karl saying 'I was still using my eyes even though I had 'em shut'.

Funniest thing on all the podcasts is from, I forget which one its from, Guide to Medicine I think. And Karls talking about a new machine where a doctor can feel what the patient is feeling and Steve just goes 'I dont know whats going on here'.

It's the absolute bewilderment from Gervais and Smerch that kills me, and Gervais' absolute infuriation and exasperation (probably better on the XFM stuff) at Monkey News.

My favourite moment on all the podcasts, one that can make ma spontaneously laugh at the thought of it, is when Karl is describing the grub's reaction to finding a crumb of biscuit and taking it back to his mates.

You can't even recreate it in text. It's the wee voice he does.

"oh, we got biscuit!"

Kills me.

Just looked through the thread and all the links to downloads and YT vids are dead, anyone know where I can download all his audio books?

I wonder if the film Karl pitched to the film execs will ever get made ?. Starring Clive Warren and Rebecca De Mornay. There in love , then Clive Warren gets hit by a bus and dies, but his brain isn't dead. The doctor then asks Rebecca De Mornay if she wants his brain in her head so she can have a chat with him ;D. She then hears him saying  "leslie" , and she finds out he was having an affair with Leslie. Clive Warren then takes over her body because all he does is think while she does the hoovering and shopping. Clive Warren then goes to Leslie and they fall in love. Leslie turned Lesbian over night , but she understood it was Clives head.

Oscar written all over it ;D

They dont have anything that needs to be paid for for obvious reasons. Podcasts/audiobooks are on itunes but you can probably find them elsewhere.

Get on pilkipedia though for the xfm shows among other stuff

The old XFM shows are a lot better than the podcasts as well.

Only annoying thing about downloading the XFM shows is that the series 2 link doesn't seem to work so you have to download each episode individually which will take agaes (

It's worth it for that episode when Karl's pitching ideas for competitions:

- Big Mother - Call in, if your mam's heavy, you win a CD

- The Rice Is Right - I read out 2 different restaurant menus and callers have to guess whether it's Indian or Chinese

- Fifteen Taiwan - Like Fifteen To One I read out fifteen items and you have to guess which one is made in Taiwan

and so on. Genius.

Is the link to d/l all four XFM series in one zip archive (around 2.4Gb) not working?

I follow Karl's way of thinking when I see a flashy car or house these days, I'm always thinking to myself "I bet hes a gangstar!"
My mate is Sarah Harding's cousin from girls aloud, he looks a fair but like her which is a bit weird when i'm cracking one off over MTV like

Had a pretty awkward moment a couple of months ago, I was on a plane and one of the fattest women I've ever seen was sitting next to me. So, I was just listening to the old podcasts and it was the bit when Steve Merchant's talking about his trip to Rio (one of my favourite parts of all the podcasts) and at the same time this woman was trying to eat a sandwich, but she was so big the she couldn't get the table down, so it was completely diagonal and she tried to rest the sandwich on there but it just slid down and landed on the floor, just as Steve's saying that he was waving to the Brazilian girls with his knob out and his glasses off! So I burst out laughing at the worst possible moment. She didn't look happy with me. I picked up her sandwich though, so it was OK.

I think it's more that he's playing a part nowadays. Still the same Karl, just tried to be more deadpan. The early XFM stuff you can hear him laughing at times, wheras now he plays the deadpan role while they take the piss. That World Cup one is the worst one they've done for me! Still funny though...

Been catching up with some of the older podcasts, just hilarious.

I love it when he says "and i'm not having a go" but then starts mouthing off about something totally inane.

Its so fucking funny when he is talking about dads mate (cant remember word for word) but something like john the screw coz he owned a DIY shop and Mick the Hat, because he never wore a hat. hahahahaha.

Also the monkey news where the monkey robs the fella who just robbed the bank. cracks me up every time.

Was listening to the one where 'Wendy' writes a letter to the Telegraph or something, complaining about Karls 3 minutes on TV and about how utterly inane it was, and they read it to him, and he starts by saying 'well, you've got to have your critics havn't you?' and non-plussed by her criticisms...

... then they rib him for 5 minutes about it, and he ends up going 'Well alright then lets see Wendy's little programme and see what she's got to talk about then! Sick of her...'

You can hear Ricky just cracking up in the background...
