Another great track, first heard it at a Universe rave back in '92.

Technically from the 90's and one could question it's quality. None the less, Darude actually timed the drop in ‘Sandstorm’ with Finland’s New Year’s countdown.

Need more proof that ‘Sandstorm’ is the meme that keeps giving? During Finland’s New Year’s celebrations over the weekend, Darude – aka the country’s #1 national export – timed Sandstorm’s epic drop with the exact moment 2017 rang in.

The celebrations were pretty special for the country, marking 100 years since it gained independence from Russia. Watch below as thousands of revellers say goodbye to the shitstorm of 2016 (see what we did there?) in the best way imaginable.

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/utaOx_BvDM8" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" class="bbc_link bbc_flash_disabled new_win">http://www.youtube.com/v/utaOx_BvDM8</a>

And all the world is football shaped, It's just for me to kick in space. And I can see, hear, smell, touch, taste.

Some great tracks there mate and some great memories from hearing them in clubs back in the day.

Was at Angels in Burnley in '91 when Bizarre Inc did a live set - awesome!

Only just seen this thread and there's some absolute classics in it especially on page 1.

This has probably been covered already but there's far too many pages fit me to look through. Does anyone have a good club mix, ideal for playing at a house party, containing dance songs from the 90s.

I'm looking for something to buy for a party.

Ha ha, that's crazy. My other half is 4 years younger than me and grew up in London and when I played it to her she just pulled a face. No taste whatsoever!! I think the 3 biggest dance tracks from when I was 16-18 were Brothers and Sisters, Shine On and Set You Free. I remember in Buzz they used to play the 12" version of Set You Free and people would go up to dance but the first 2 or 3 minutes is just the sound of the storm and and the piano bit so we all just used to shuffle from foot to foot waiting for it to start.

Yoy don't have to buy any. There are loads of cracking mixes on youtube mate. Just find one you like, use a youtube to mp3 converter and burn the mix onto your CD.

I've not been very well mate. Still not right really.

Damn, for the life of me I can't remember what tune it was now. Got the memory of a goldfish at the moment. It's all this medication I've been on.

*edit*

I remember now. It was Razorboy & Mirror man - Beyond control. Embedding still not working.

Probably a little too hardcorey for you anyway mate. :)

Just having a clear out and found a mixtape recorded by my mate Nick as he DJ'd (fairly badly!) at a party in about 1993 (love finds like that and what a year!)  But never mind his skills, I can't fault his song selection.  Contains some absolute classics I'd completely forgotten about.  I'm sure some of these have been posted before, but it's Friday so enjoy 'em again... :wave

Orbital - LC1

The Grid - Crystal Clear
