I'm sure it will get an airing. The one thing you dont want though is ignorant fucks on the other side coming back with their bile.

Maybe the home game on the saturday is a better time?

I think the chelsea fans will be on their best behaviour regarding any bile that might be heard,
UEFA spotlight will be on this as it was moved due to hillsborough
a chance for the chelsea fans to earn some respect if theyre well behaved

we did that aganist arsenal in the cup as a protest aganist the BBC for employing MacKenzie as a presenter.

im sure it will be sung but think our respects should be made at home on our own turf

Its not wrong its her opinion which she has good reason for and as a very well travelled red one that she is more than entitled to. You don't have to agree with it but that doesn't make her wrong or right.

Yes, there will be a minutes silence before the game at the bridge, they mentioned it on match of the day.

Heya stranger.

I stick by it R, I have seen what gets written on their site, and notwithstanding there are plenty, (by a long way the majority) of good decent Chelsea fans who would support it, there are some who would not.

I think that it could open up what is intended to be a sincere and emotional expression of remembrance and support for the familes,  to the potential for a slanging match ( at best) .  That would seem wrong, disrespectful and plain crazy.

But just my opinion.

with regards to wether we should or not sing i think we should encourage and maybe educate some of the chelsea fans who might be to young to know of the reasons why 96 football fans lost their lives and the key word here is football it is what unites us all and as for that poor excuse for a newspaper or its employees past or present i dont think they aren worthy of any interviews or quotes from any person remotely connected to our club

I will at some stage tommorow be singing "Justice For the 96" as I have done at most away games close to the anniversary each of the last 10 seasons or so.

If you wanna join in, do, if not dont.

The original question was whether it would be sung for 6 minutes like against Arsenal on Truth Day - not whether it would be sung at all.

i know that.
but then (IMO) the replies focussed on our opponents. and they were cited as the reason for not singing it.

Given the disgusting and truly upsetting songs that the Chelsea fans sung on the train back to London after the win in February, I dread to think what may happen tomorrow.

It looks to me as if we have signed another 'average' player. I'll hold back my complete opinion until I see the lad play

I will sing it too Rich, and if I find you will sing it with you, my response was simply that its not the right place for the 6 minutes .

Not really a subject we should be arguing over now, is it? Whatever happens at Stamford Bridge, we'll pay our proper respects the next day. Let's leave it at that.

I'm not arguing at all. All i fuckin said was that if some one has an opinion it doesn't mean it has to be wrong if you dont agree with it. And for the record of course i will be singing it if its sung.
