A lot of it is in the physio room.
It's not though is it, don't think I've seen us press aggressively once. We were all over spurs and west ham, Brighton just been given a free pass for 45 minutes.

The minimum you want is chasing players down which won us the league

Just not doing it in these games

We have more creative passes from our CBs than our midfield. Id take Milner or Gini off for Jones.
Firmino and Shaq have been poor, but they always have a few brilliant moves per game.

Milner and Wjnaldum seem incapable of passing it forward, but they aren't helped with Robbo in particular lacking any support. Robbo is playing full back and winger.

Need to revert to that diamond from Sunday or remove Shaq.

Ball is being moved far too slow, against West Ham even though it was 0-0 at HT, we were moving it one touch at pace. It felt like it was coming.

It doesn’t feel like it’s coming here unless there’s a change in shape or tempo

Could not agree more. We just look toothless at the moment. It's not like we're getting even long range shots away at the moment.

We switched to the diamond towards the end of the half after Klopp had a chat with Henderson on the sideline.

Anyone see Mo get mugged, but not go down, so he let them play on? Fucking madness.  :no

I don't understand why our forwards with their back to goal on the halfway line will not go down when fouled.

Because we want to keep the ball moving. Compare that to Brighton who are waiting for us the brush against then and then they fall down and get the free kick.

Thiago is spending too much time doing Hendo's mopping up job, because Hendo is not there; he needs to be further forward creating

Of the bottom 6 we’ve only beaten Sheffield United so far this season, so that first half probably shouldn’t have been unexpected.

No runners from anywhere to be honest. Another handful of promising balls with no one anywhere near them.

That is what happens when you have a makeshift pairing at centre back. They have done well but at the cost of the full backs pushing on and the midfield gambling and getting ahead of the ball.

The balance is wrong without a DM. We end up with the three in the middle unsure as to who should be going and who should be holding. The defence line isn't as high as it would be so we simply aren't winning enough 2nd balls.

We need to be more aggressive, play higher and get midfield runners ahead of the ball.

Don’t think Brighton are being particularly defensive

They’ve got every man behind the ball when we attack

They’re coming forward but we’re just not passing it quick enough when we get it off them.

I understand that, but on the halfway line is another thing. It led to a dangerous counter.

Feel for Mo and Bobby here, getting so little from the 3 in midfield and Shaqiri. These are the sorts of game we were saying Thiago would be the difference maker for us and he’s really not showing it so far.

Ox, Curtis and Origi for Shaq, Thiago and Milner if we had five subs
I agree Thiago hasn’t shown much, but it must be frustrating for a midfielder when you look up and the only player moving is Salah, while the rest just are just watching.

personally think we need Haaland type of player, he would score a bundle with Trent and Thiago delivery.

I'm watching the game upstairs and my missus is watching Everton downstairs.

I've got my door shut and just heard the shout "Fuck off you FUCKING KNOB!!"

Not sure what their score is, but at least they are having a wobble it seems?

They both went in high, that's factually correct, both tried to play the ball at height.  Doku with his foot, Mac Allister with his chest.

If Bobby doesn't play well he plays really bad. Like he isn't a 7 out of 10, he's either 9 or 10 or a 2 or 3. It's like playing with 12 men or 10.

Kudos to Brighton.  They have have excited their game plan really well.  In the first half.

Poor game from us here struggling once again to break down a 10 man defence as has been the case with the last few home games.

Disappointed in Brighton if I'm honest, expected a bit more football from them, which if they did would have caused us more problems.

Anyway changes, Curtis & Ox to come on for Millie and Shaq, might even see Davies coming on and Hendo pushing into MF ?
A Great man once said...
"Football is a simple game based on the giving and taking of passes, of controlling the ball and of making yourself available to receive a pass.
It is terribly simple."
