Gutted for the season to end the way it has. Had we got to the final day and captured 4th along with a league cup it would have been a good year. As it is feels like a real missed opportunity to do something really special.

It’s been clear for weeks we aren’t the finished article and the gutsy performances that got us this far have faded as we get closer to the end. Plenty to build on next season with a new manager.

We didn't defend well either.  They barely created anything, but when they did, they were high quality chances.

We'd needed 3 to win if it wasn't for Robbo's clearance or Alisson's miracle save.  With our finishing the way it is, it was unsustainable to be poor defensively and be poor in front of goal.  We could've gotten away with it today, but it would've caught up to us eventually.

How do United get the amount of luck they get and we get so little. It's beyond parody. We've a mix at the moment, players out of form and those returning not up to speed. It's a difficult balance to get a hundred per cent right. I would have preferred starting with Elliot, but it hasn't always worked when we have done that. I am guessing it just wasn't meant to be this season. You can't challenge for titles when you have this many injuries. If Arsenal or City had as many as we did they would not be in it now. That much is clear.

I make that 6 bonafide sitters from 6 different players. I don't know what's happened to this squad that finishing has become so appalling, but it's a serious problem. Our conversion % must be right at the bottom of the league; we have about 20 shots a game and score once or twice at a push.

The title is gone. The optimists in here will come in to say "never say never", but there's a difference between optimism and delusion, and I'm of the opinion that even if Arsenal and City were to drop points, we're not going win enough games to make it matter. Our form has tanked right at the apex of the season, and it's looking to me like we're going to comfortably finish 3rd, and it's going to become a two-horse race for the final couple of weeks.

I can't agree with the notion elsewhere that Palace defended well, because they gave us ample opportunities to put it in the back of the net. Our lack of ruthlessness in the final third has cost us the title. Any other team would have had a hatful today.

Our tempo is fine, we've just run out of ideas at the front. Only Diaz and Salah can dribble and take on defenders. The rest are struggling to find a way through a defence other than whipping the ball in and hoping someone gets on the end of it.

I think this is it to be honest, nail on the head. I think Endo has been brilliant this season, but clearly we need an upgrade there as a starter. I think it is a bit of a huge problem for us as we really struggle to build through midfield.

It’s probably as close as we’re going to get for the foreseeable. Good luck to the new bloke, whoever it is, he’s got his work cut out. League full of cheats, governing bodies that don’t give a shit, a media that treat the game like reality tv show. There’s going to have to be some big calls with this squad too, if that even matters.

I think we can all see why Klopp is tired. Fighting all that and constantly trying to explain simple fucking concepts like “don’t leave people unmarked 6 yards out”, “pass to the people wearing the same kit as you” and “stop panicking in front of goal” must be exhausting.
