Said in the pre match thread that start is Kostas and Curtis was a huge risk considering they haven’t started a game in months. A shocking team performance.

I'm more disappointed with players like Mac and VVD to be honest, who look really uninterested.

Gakpo has been trying, with mixed results. Konate made some nice runs upfield as well. Thats pretty much it

Staggering that we have ANOTHER half time thread with the end of the world being predicted.

We are in the business end of the season and we can’t keep clean sheets, should have been 1-0 down within a few minutes.
We are not looking convincing when we play a team who is motivated.

Gakpo has actually been good but it's games like this that make me question what the club were thinking when they thought he was the right style of player our squad needed. He seemingly has to play in the middle, so our striker has to play on the wing and then you have Elliott who just isn't a winger playing on the right. Elsewhere you have Jota whose best position is in the middle, and an ageing/slowing Salah. This squad is crying out for a winger.

We can't play well against a high press - I've seen this game a lot under Klopp. Not sure Atalanta can keep it up, but yeah we really struggle in these types of games. We've been poor all over.

Crowd are shite too, can't help but feel arrogance all over from the club and the fans. Think the fan groups have picked the wrong battle over 2% increases, but will save that for a different debate. Clearly a lot for us to work on all over both on and off the pitch in the stadium.

Seriously, we are a goal down at home and not playing particularly well, ofc folk are venting. Nothing shocking there. Can bet your ass they will be in the stands to.

Yep Van Dijk has been in one of his too easy for me modes, got caught faffing about at least once.

You can pull their team shape apart with a few quick passes. Man to man is insane at this level

This has been going on since the last 10 games of our quadruple season. Something going on there….

Tactically outwitted, we don’t know how to progress the ball against their man marking. We got control from 15-30 but gave away a poor goal and momentum shifted towards them. Hoping Klopp has a few words and shows them how to play against these or make changes.

I dont know if its the tactics. We are extremely static, and the passing percentage is horrific. Cant win games like that against any setup

They have done it from time to time but they need to do it more consistently. They have looked less impressive when we've moved it quicker.

Completely unsustainable to keep having to come back in games. You don't always get away with it like we saw on Sunday. It's like we are just doing training exercises in 1st half of games. Need to start taking things seriously and not wait till things get desperate before our minds are focused.

Never seems to be a method to how we play half the time in the first half. Second half it's always about chasing it and upping the gears.
