Heres a better one. Hold your right arm out straight. Start moving it in a clock-wise motion. Around a 10 inch radius will do.

Now hold out your right leg and try moving it in an ANTI clock wise direction whilst maintaining the movement of your arm.

If you can do it then youre a freak. The part of the brain that controls the movement of your right side cannot perform opposite movements of the arm and leg at the same time

i can do that but it does my head in.
Yep.

Adolf Hitler's half brother lived in Liverpool during WW2.

He didn't live in Liverpool during World War 2 - he moved back to Germany in 1914 and got stranded there by World War 1. He married another woman bigamously (he had a wife and kid in Liverpool) and stayed in Germany after the war. He was also Hitler's half brother (different mothers).

The house he lived in was bombed during World War 2 and doesn't exist anymore (he lived on Upper Stanhope Street apparently), which was bombed during the last raid on Liverpool in 1942 and which is now a grassed area. He ran a restaurant on Dale Street, a boarding house on Parliament Street and a hotel on Mount Pleasant which all went bankrupt.

Not according to a TV programme I seen recently where they went to his local and intervied a few guys who knew him, and were able to show pictures of them with him.

Interesting programme actually - had a whole segment about how all the countries gold was briefly kept in liverpool during the war as the big fancy bank had the most secure vaults in the country.

The longest televised golf putt was holed by Terry Wogan in a pro-celebrity tournament shown by the BBC in 1981.

got loads of these, according to Audi:

 - the average human emits 250 watts of electricity.

 - a 30-minute bike ride at 12mph could power a light bulb for one hour.

 - electricity travels at a speed more than 670 million mph

 - a single bolt of lighting contains one billion volts of power, thats enough to cook 30,000 microwave dinners.

 - lightening is five times hotter than the surrface of the sun.

 - a static shock that you can feel delivers 250 watts of electricity.

 - if you yelled for 8 months, 7 months and 6 days straight you would generate enough power to heat up a cup of coffee.

 - kissing for 10 minutes generates enough power to run a TV for one hour.

 - lightening strikes the earths surface 100 times a second.

got loads of these, according to Audi:
Would have thought Audi would have more technical rigour.
- the average human emits 250 watts of electricity.
250 Watts of electricity? Slack. May have a power output of 250W - but it will be output predominantly as heat... You can't plug appliances into your partner. Well you can, but they still need an independent power supply.
- a 30-minute bike ride at 12mph could power a light bulb for one hour.
They've banned the importation of tradition lightbulbs, with Energy Saving bulbs, you'd get 9 hours. My quick tip is to use a fluorescent tube, park under some power lines and slack off the cycling. The illumination will then last as long as the power company uses the line.
- electricity travels at a speed more than 670 million mph
That's the propogation speed of electromagnetic radiation. In electricity, the speed of movement of electrons through a material is actually quite slow. A few mm per second in some typical examples.
- a single bolt of lighting contains one billion volts of power, thats enough to cook 30,000 microwave dinners.
Volts is a measure of potential difference. You also need a current to generate a power output. Cooking Microwave dinners is a unit of energy, not power.
- lightening is five times hotter than the surrface of the sun.
There is a Michael Jackson joke in there. The surface of the sun is not that hot (relatively speaking). The good stuff happens in the core.
- a static shock that you can feel delivers 250 watts of electricity.
250W but for how long? A power figure in isolation is pretty useless.
- if you yelled for 8 months, 7 months and 6 days straight you would generate enough power to heat up a cup of coffee.
Is this an attempt to quantify the heating effects of the sound that you produce. Because you have already told be that the human body produces 250W. Of course the fundamental misunderstanding between power and energy resurfaces.
- kissing for 10 minutes generates enough power to run a TV for one hour.
Someone appears to be lifting data from a different source. Cycling is more energy intensive than kissing - compared to the earlier factoid, something is screwy.
- lightening strikes the earths surface 100 times a second.

This is contentious, and there appears to be a wide spread for this figure. The article below cites between 20 and 100 per second globally.

That's a good thing.

The clock above Edinburgh Waverley never shows the right time apart from one day per year. It is in fact 5 minutes fast
I'll always keep in my heart the good times I've had here, the strong and loyal support of the fans in the tough times and the love from Liverpool. I have no words to thank you enough for all these years and I am very proud to say that I was your manager.
