If Harry can get Spurs to the CL 1/4 final then he could get England to the World Cup final.
The original reason I came in here was to ask if anyone knows if there's any truth in Kjær going to Roma?
Finished at the age of 26. The Mike Tyson of football.
Kharja went to Fiorentina from Genoa a few days ago, he was a good nifty player for Inter in the past six months.
Yup, a great little pick up by Fiorentina ... Pantaleo Corvino working his magic in the transfer window. To add, they've also managed to retain the likes of Montolivo, Gilardino & Juan Manuel Vargas. With Jovetic back to fitness ... Viola could be looking at a decent season.
Seems to be some rumours around that arsenal want montolivo, any truth in that?
Aquilani revealed on Sunday that he is 'close to joining AC Milan', and his representative has now said that a deal will be finalised in the next few days."The involved parties are working on this case, and between Wednesday and Thursday, everything will be decided," Franco Zavaglia told ilsussidiario.net.Despite Aquilani's price-tag, it is believed that Milan are unwilling to offer more than €6m for the 27-year-old midfielder.
Khaja, is a player I can't understand why inter even wanted him, he wasn't good enough for them. Seems to be some rumours around that arsenal want montolivo, any truth in that?
Arsenal could do alot worse than go for Montolivo (as a replacement for Fabregas). A truly class player on his day that has stagnated for the past few years (he was once heralded as the next Pirlo). His contract runs out next year, so he will be available for less than his true value. Fiorentina have already said that they will only consider selling him abroad, as they rejected AC Milans offer.
Forlan to Inter looks a formality now
Like to see how he gets on there.
Will be interesting to say the least. I don't think he will score much if I'm honest, but he'll be much of a creator in that squad, the slow pace and his set-pieces ability will be a much needed spark in their creativity but as a replacement for Eto'o it certainly seems an odd choice
If there was ever a reason for human cloning, Steven Gerrard is it.
Forlan will be good for Inter, I will have no problem if he joins, Ive always rated him even if he is getting on in age a bit. I fear Dalglish will regret this big time.
What's the deal with Borriello? Are Roma really dumping him after what 6 weeks since they signed him?
Yeah apparently he doesnt fit in with Enrique's style of play. He would do well in the Premier League with his physique and hold up play (I think Fulham are linked with him).
But on another note Juve have officially given up on getting Michel Bastos and are signing some Paraguyan who appearantly had a good CA, Estigariba (sp?) or something like that, on an initial loan with an option for permanent signing and bought Cesena's Giacherrini. You can't blame them for being inactive in the window
Serie A strike likely to go aheadThis weekend’s opening Serie A round is increasingly likely to be postponed after the Lega rejected a collective bargaining contract. The Players’ Association (AIC) has threatened to go on strike for Week 1 if the deal was not signed by the Lega (union of Serie A clubs).“The Lega meeting rejected the agreement with the AIC by a large majority, voting 18 to 2,” revealed Lega President Maurizio Beretta. The only two clubs who voted in favour of the compromise are Cagliari and Siena. There is still a small hope of seeing the teams play this weekend, as the Lega proposed two changes to the collective bargaining contract for players. The first is with regards to Article 4, forcing players to pay the ‘solidarity’ contribution for those who find themselves without a club.Article 7 will also include a change regarding training, as the players are adamant those in the middle of contract disputes must not be forced to train separately from the main squad. The clubs claim this could make problems for the Coach in case he has to train the full squad of perhaps as many as 40 players.
Inter are also interested in Zarate it seems. With Zarate, Pandev, Milito, Pazzini, Forlan, Alvarez and Sneijder in the ranks, I wonder what happens to Coutinho.
Looks like Quagliarella is in the same boat as Borriello and might be off then, as they have to many forwards. Also Italy international fullback Mattia Cassani has joined Fiorentina on loan - with an option to buy - from Palermo. Strange move as he has been one of the best full backs in the country for the past couple of years and has established himself in the Italy national team. I dont understand why these team keep selling their best players - Abel Hernandez will be next I reckon.
We'll for one Pandev is shocking, so one is to hope he is ahead of him at least. Bigmarc's whats this news regarding quagliarella? Do Juventus or coach don't want him now? He is a class player.
"I think it is right and fair to thank the people who have given me so much in these two fantastic years that I've spent at Inter. First of all, I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks and most cordial greetings to the president, Mr Massimo Moratti, and to his family for everything they have done and for the way they have helped me and those dearest to me. I will always feel a special bond with Mr Moratti for the respect and the affection that he has shown me in these marvellous years. Then there are all my team-mates: I'm aware that without their encouragement and help on the pitch Inter wouldn't have achieved so many important victories on a national and international level. A very special thank you, also, to all the Italian and foreign footballers who have enabled me to become a better player game after game.A sincere thank you to the coaches who have been at Inter in these years and especially to Mr José Mourinho, who was so determined to have me at this club, for the opportunity he gave me by bringing me to Milan.A fond farewell also to technical director Marco Branca, sporting director Piero Ausilio, team manager Andrea Butti and all the staff at F.C. Internazionale and at the Centro Sportivo Angelo Moratti in Appiano Gentile: doctors and physios, helpers, chefs and waiters, kit men and gardeners, and everyone who works at Inter Channel.I will never forget the affection of the Inter fans (Mauro is the greatest of them all) who made me feel like one of them and who always supported and helped me. Nor will I forget all the journalists I've had the pleasure of meeting.I also feel I should thank my Italian 'mamma', Ciacia Guzzetti, for her help and my fantastic manager, Claudio Vigorelli, for his commitment and professionalism. Thanks to a man who is an Interista through and through, Marco Materazzi, for making me feel 'Italian'. Thanks big bro.In the hope that I haven't forgotten anyone, thanks again to every one of you!"Samuel Eto'o
In other news pandev is close to joining napoli apparently and they replacement will most likely be palacios ( pointless signing at his age imo).
Rodrigo Palacio from Genoa ? He'll be an upgrade on Pandev thats for sure, and Gasperini knows him well as he coached him for a few seasons. Wouldn't want us to spend over 10 million for him though, which is what Genoa would want.
I'm surprised no one's snatched up Andrea Poli yet. Quality midfielder and with Sampdoria's situation now would be an excellent chance to do it
Looks like they listened to me. Word on the streets is that Inter have made a bid. Heard anything about that?
Inter defender Davide Santon is keen on joining Newcastle United, the player’s agent has confirmed, amid reports that he is travelling to England to undergo a medical with the St James' Park club.Santon made his debut for the Italian giants back in 2008 as a 17-year-old and was touted as one of the club’s best youth prospects of recent years, but he has since failed to break into the first team squad and spent the latter half of last term on loan at Cesena."At this time, there is no possibility that Santon can join Roma because right now the aim is Newcastle," Vigorelli told Italian newspaper Corriere Dello Sport.Sky Sport 24 report that the full-back is en route to Newcastle and will have a medical on Tuesday before completing a €6 million move.Alan Pardew is understood to be keen on acquiring a left-back to fill the void left by Jose Enrique, and has turned his attentions to Santon after a possible move for PSV’s Erik Pieters broke down after the clubs were unable to agree a fee.
Juventus just signed Eljero Elia from Hamburg for 9 million. Another good signing unfortunately.
Messi in fact doesn't have a recognizable trait.
